And Edison Miranda already kicked his ass in a round, so they know it's not too tough of a fight. I agree that would have been a much better opponent than Edouard though, plus it puts another Mexican on the card.

When I heard about this I laughed. He should have fought Manfredo @ least.

I would have preferred David Lopez over Peter Manfredo, but I most certainly would have preferred Manfredo over Edouard.

The news on the weight said "no more than 164 pounds," so maybe they plan for Pavlik to see how light he can come in. They don't want to take a chance on KP losing a fight over weight issues. They picked a guy even a dehydrated and exhausted Pavlik can beat. Even if that is the case, Edouard is way to much of a cup cake for a card like this. This reminds me of an old fashioned WWF squash match: King Kong Bundy versus some random jobber!

I think the people around Kelly are stupid . Kelly is 6'2 and is still trying to fight around 160 even though he doesn't take care of himself . Guess thats how it is when youre trainer works at the Boys and Girls Club.

That's too bad. I'm really saddened by this downturn in Pavlik's career. I hope this is his only tune-up fight and that he gets back to the big fights and trying to win titles very soon.

Every time I think there might be a little light in Pavliks career, it just goes dark..

This is the perfect time for Kelly to show and prove he still wants it and still has the fire to get it.. This wouldn't even be a good fight for Tito or Winky at this time.. He wasn't outclassed by Martinez just came up short.. **** or get off the pot!!! time is now..

they need to build up the pavlik fight and get his fan base dreaming again. I see him as a limited puncher and i dont see how he could make a splash in the SWM divsion - it is too strong for him and I think he struggles with the fringe players like Bika or Green but gets totally taken apart by the major players like Ward, Froch, Bute, Kessler, Dirrell etc.

My sentiments exactly. The exposure on this card will be huge. It's silly to squander it on a guy like Edouard.

Actually John Duddy vs Pavlik would have been more fun to watch too.
