    Kahn could be a golden calf for GBP. Most of their stable is getting older and they need to hang their star on somebody. A good looking, multi-cultural fighter with Olympic pedigree founded the company, of course he's looking for the next him.

    i always love it when fighters go out and make such bold challenges, even if they probably don't mean it.

    I mean it sounds simple enough right? Khan and Roach think they could destroy Maidana then it should be no problem agreeing to winner take all.

    It was reported that Khan made USD1.1 million against Malignaggi; where are you getting these guaranteed pound figures from?

    The Maidana fight is worth more to HBO than the Malignaggi fight; I'm sure this fight is worth $2MM + easy. Could it be that Khan wants more than his purse for the easy fight against Paulie?

    I don't buy this "not enough money" excuse. There is enough money there if both are serious about the fight IMO.

    2 million to make this fight isn't unrealistic. :think

    GBP would never allow this fight to happen with a winner takes all kind of deal. They're managing Khan.

    GBP knows what kind of investment Khan is. He could be dominating all the rounds until a well placed shot cracks that chin.

    I think Maidana actually means it because he's fed up with Khan's antics but it's never going to happen because everyone knows that one big punch and Khan's night is over regardless of how far up on the cards he may be.

    It's not so much the amount that Maidana is objecting to in the Khan offer but the lack of respect he is receiving after having to wait near a year for Khan to fulfill his obligation. I think even if the purse bids result in both guys getting a lower amount, he would be glad to receive a solid 45% of whatever the purse total is rather than be jerked around by Khan's lowball offers to avoid a fight.
