Give it up you desperate Klit fans, you're all wishing and hoping and on your news choking (on Eastern European balls!).
It ain't no myth, Vitali didn't cut himself, he had everything in his favour; younger, hungrier, better conditioned, determined and yet only lasted 6 rounds.
They are the facts now **** off, Wlad's fighting soon ain't he? Hurry!

    "Sour Grapes" by Klitschko haters.

Notice when Lewis' promoter signaled Lewis' doctor to stop that fight on cuts without even looking at the cut! Angelo Dundee said that Vitali was cheated out of the WBC title that night. Vitali would have knocked Lewis out in the very next round as Lewis was on an empty tank of gas and had been staggered more than once. Vitali never runs out of gas. Even, at that time, well known Klitschko hater Max Kellerman said that he had never seen Lewis flop down on his stool so hard as in that fight and Max was sitting right behind Lewis' corner. Lewis had to hold on to Vitali to keep from going down. Lewis had a very badly broken nose and had hard time breathing! Lewis had to get that fight stopped or get knocked out. Lewis knows this and will have to live with it the rest of his life. He knew he would have lost in a rematch. Vitali was winning the fight! Lewis was offered absurdly amounts on money for rematch.

Lewis may have been a beast but technically he was flawed, Manny sorted that.

Was Wlad prime prior to Manny's highering? No, sure he had the tools but nowhere near his full potential, same goes for Lewis, this is fact.

I love how many years later, and a zillion threads like this later (and I'm still getting sucked in...) Vitalys more insane follows insist that Lewis sitting down on his stool hard is more important than:

1 - Lewis getting rocked early (Vitlay should have won it right there), but by the end of the fight showing very little respect for Vitlays power. Lewis said Vitaly had "shot his bolt", and by the way the fight went, it looked about right. Lewis was gladly taking 2 to give 1. Lewis' 1 landed had more impact than Vitlays 2.

2- Vitlays face. Come on. Look at it. It's not 1 cut in an unfortunate position. His entire right side of his face is falling off.

3- Ring smarts. Lewis saw the cut, and fought smart. He threw everything at that side of Vitlays face to put him in a state where he couldn't continue (Um, the most basic aspect of boxing - hitting someone until they can't continue) the fight. Vitlay didn't really react too much.

4 - Butterfly tape. You don't put that on unless the fight is over. Vitlays corner put it on before the fight was stopped. They were pulling him out anyway. A doctors stoppage and then running around the ring crying looks far better than being stopped on your stool for the second time.

5 - Essentially, Vitaly won the last 4 rounds, Lewis the last 2. So, who was fading and who wasn't?

6 - Steward telling Lewis to change his plan at the start of the 3rd. He told him to stop trying to box him, and just fight. Hit him as hard as he could with every shot, bump him, shove him, turn it into an out and out fight. 4 rounds later, the fight was over.

7 - (Got to throw one in about stools..). Lewis may have sat down hard on his stool, but at least he knew where it was. Watch Vitaly at the end of the 6th. He's no idea where he's going. He's on ***** street.

8 - Vitlay hanging on for grim death at the end of the 6th. He's a ****ing tough man for taking the punishment he did, but he was a zombie at the end of that round. Lewis was just going to land more and more of those right hands as time went on. Both guys were pretty ****ed, but Vitaly was going to get severely messed up if the fight kept going.

We can speculate all we want about cuts not happening etc, but it did. Vitaly had 3 more rounds at the old man to do something, and couldn't.

Why do people bring up old fights. Its a futile exercise with no way of proving either way. Just pointless. Get over it!!!
Talk about fights that might actually still happen!

...What would've happened to Quarry if...ah forget it, this thread is not worth a witty retort.
