I know both guys very well indeed from their amateur days. Audley's early tutelage was at my gym, Northolt ABC, under the guidance of the head coach Pat Wilson.
Haye i have also seen numerous times in his amateur development in maidenhead where i used to take one of our charges Darren Grant ( a super heavy) down for sparring with Haye and Sprott.

The reason i g o on about the amateur days is because just like with Holyfield and Tyson much of the mystic of this fight lies in what some of us witnessed and know form those years.

    1. Audley has NO fear of Haye
    2. Audley used to Man handle him in sparring (never stopped him though)
    3. Haye found the southpaw stance very hard to negotiate
    4. We have seen Haye hurt and dropped a couple of times in sparring (the origin of persistent insinuations about Haye being chinny emanate not from his pro career as many think but from his amateur days).
For all the above reasons some people are right when they have noticed that Haye just seems oddly wound up, unsettled and not quite believable in his confidence this time around. The big question mark is whether Audley has the mental capacity to deliver. Lets be clear Audley is so frustrating, precisely because many know that Audley has the better basics ( he has many of the toools required to be a top class heavy) but he is a pure waste of talent.
However the manner of some his latest wins, avenging Williams and Sprott and doing it under duress with Sprott might just be the kinds of victories that give him the mental and psychological belief he needs!

I've not noticed Haye being uptight etc. In fact, i'd say he appears the most confident he's ever been! Got my tickets yesterday so will be fun watching Audley get KO'd!

Heard Harrison say in recent interviews that Haye smacked him around in there most recent sparring sessions.

It was on Audley's website - now he's taken it off from what I can see! Pretty embarrassing post - it was the one where he mentioned how he and Haye have a similar dynamic to Rocky and Apollo Creed! F**king moron. Admitted that Haye came to his camp in Miami when he was preparing for the Guinn fight and, under the eyes of Lennox Lewis, Haye beat him up for three rounds. Blamed lack of conditioning and Haye taking it too seriously.

Also I know it's not too important - but Tomasz Bonin is the only fighter both have fought. Haye demolished him in one round, Audley patted him around for a while before winning in the 9th. Pretty much says it all!

    azumah!
nice to see you back on here, i remember chattin to you a couple of years back on bbc 606, hows everything at the northolt abc?
i still havent joined a gym yet because of health problems but im hoping to get that sorted before the year is out, i went to an amateur show in oxford and caught the bug again.

i always enjoyed your posts on 606 as you were one of the better people to debate with.

i see where your coming from on this subject and i do believe that audleys southpaw stance and height and reach will cause haye a few problems early on but i still see haye dropping audley around the 3rd, audley just doesnt like getting hit and he freezes.

Ah Anjy!!! nice to see you old fellow. When you are recuperated pls feel free to pop along to the gym. Better level of discussion on here than 606, though i pop back now and again!
I hold to my contention that there might just be an upset in the making here. I believe that Haye is far too uptight and wound up for my money, i would definitely suggest that Harrison go further in the prefight and really wind Haye up. The more Haye takes this personally the more likely that the heart will rule over the head and he will fight a dumb fight!!
If Harrison is still in ther at the 5th then its huge trouble for Haye.... its interesting that Harrison keeps talking about going the distance whilst Haye is convinced he wins this really early!

Haye will win because he is a much, much better fighter.

Sometimes it really is that simple.

LOL what a load of shite!! Haye will win by KO first round!! Fraudley will curl up into a ball after throwing 1 jab then be a punching bag until he has bambi legs or the referee stops the bout.lets all get serious he is fighting a world champion in Haye not a taxi driver or a journeyman like he is used to!! Fraudley was even scared to trade in the prize fighter tournament against total novice fighters!!!

sparring story doesnt matter. audley is 9 years older than haye. if haye was 17, then audley would have been 26 years old. thats a big difference when your developing. imagine the currently 29 year old haye fighting his 20 year old version . . .

Haye is a joke. People who believe in upset are just believing it coz Haye is annoying outside the ring, which is right in some way.

I mean, Fraudley won't win it for sure, an upset would mean it'd become funny again in HW but where is the sportwise part?

Fraudley is a bum, to be honest - he fkin is. An VERY VERY average Sprott was smashing his face for 12 rounds.

People, get real Haye is a *****, he is afraid of the Kbros since it'd end in a heavy KO, he'd be hospitalized and thus even millions won't make him fight Kbros, he's just a ***** and everyone who is watching boxing's for year would agree.
