For a first show it was a pretty good effort.

Good studio guests, and decent touches with Lewis vs Bruno etc.

But for me...... it's still the same Sky. There's a lack of opinion (or genuine ones at least) and no debate, are they respected boxing figures or a set of Churchill nodding dogs?

I'm not saying you have to go the whole hog and have a debate or viewer interaction, but at least a bit of something different.

Would be nice to see them put a little more effort into covering fights from abroad and mix it in with ''could be a potential opponent for our studio guest [insert name]'' with the guest offering an analysis on how they expect the fight to go and their thoughts on the two fighters.

The issues that Jeff outlined AGES ago (before his little stint with Maloney :yep) are still prevalent, we've got a lot of fights being shown on Sky and we don't know who the **** they are - Foster vs Leva for instance. What has Foster been doing, who has he beaten and so on - make the viewer interested and take ownership (can't think of a better word) of a fighter and his career. That way the viewers look forward to seeing their man/men in action and the sport benefits as a result.

The move to Saturdays is a good one, Friday night just seemed like they shoved it on after the rugby to fill some gaps in their schedule, without a thought into their coverage.

Superb show. Hats-off to Sky once again. Their boxing coverage has improved so much in the last year or so. I really, really enjoyed this. Keep it up, Sky:good.

As an aside, why put it on at the same time as the Bunce hour? Monday night would have been brilliant, IMO. No point splitting the viewing figures by having both shows on at the same time. Even if the Bunce Hour and Ringside are in direct competition it makes no sense to give your potential viewers an option to listen to/watch something else that covers the same topics.

Totally agree. It was good but I want to see a bit of debate, it was too much like their fight coverage, a bit predictable
