I take it Forrest Griffin is great? What about Tim Sylvia? Or how about Rashad Evans?

Neither of those fighters are true greats but each of their resumes speak for themselves. Your the same guy who thinks Griffin doesnt belong in the UFC. Despite the fact he crushed the current Champion and 2 former Champions.

I wouldnt be surprised at all. Hopefully CC is injury free and ready to use that left leg. Id absolutely love it though if Mir tried to strike with CC.

Was unaware of their 2 titles, in what amounts to two different careers, pre-leg break and post.

CroCop has just as bad, if not worse, losses on his record then Mir.

Im not doubting Mir's credentials or ability. But he's nothing anything close to great. Neither are any of the fighters i mentioned.
If they are great because they won titles then surely Fedor must be super great by Beebs reasoning as he beat 5 former UFC champs...

So you aren't doubting his credentials or ability, what else is there? Having fought in Pride?

**** yes I consider Fedor super great, you don't?

Dont be shocked if CC gets KTFO or dropped at the least. I love Cro Cop but whens the last time he outstruck a good striker ? I know he dropped Pat Barry late and wouldve TKOed if not for the RNC but he wore him down in that 2nd round with his superior grappling after being dropped twice in the 1st round. Mir has improved his striking quite a bit, hes got fluid combos and heavy hands beating Nogueira like a drum and nearly knocking Kongo out (2 guys who beat CC) prove that he is a competent striker. This aint 5 years ago bro Mirko has slowed down a bit, hes been banged up alot, hes getting older and his confidence has been shot since the Gonzaga fight although its seemed to come back alittle. What might help Mirko or hurt him is all this recent activity this is his 5th fight in the last 15 months he might be in incredible shape mentally and phyiscally or plain tired.

I agree none of the fighters are IMO truely great fighters. I think your off saying hes nothing close to great because there is no doubt Mir is VERY GOOD which in my world is like one step back from great.

Frank Mir by current standards should go down as a great fighter.

Wins over Williams, Tank, Sylvia, Brock, Nog and Kongo are decent when everything is looked at. Three of these guys are past, present or future champs.

Won the title in his 9th fight against a 16-0 Sylvia.

Should he beat Cro Cop, that is another legend on his record.
