Haye smashed Audley in sparring, Audley said it on his own website.

The most Audley has to brag about from their sparring sessions is that Haye never hurt him, but Haye said that was because Audley was covering up in the corner :rofl

Im a big Haye fan, but must admit this fight should not have made. Giving a bum like Fraudly a punchers chance is way more than he deserves, that will be the only way he can win this, by sheer fluke.

How the hell Ordinary Harrison even gets this fight is beyond me, his biggest achievement to date is selling his first 10 pro fights to the BBC for a million quid and what a pile of shite that turned out to be.

Including the almighty clash with a nightclub doorman, who he punched when he was down and the doorman got up and stuck a nut on him.

Not true!! Harrison is closer to the truth on the sparring. If you notice Harrison hasnt claimed that anything huge happened in the sparring. But he rightly claimed that Haye never came close to getting to him!
I work with Harrisons amateur trainer Pat Wilson 3 times a week. Pat witnessed many of these sessions and told me on tuesday that Audley was always in control of Haye. 'toyed with him' are the words he used. He said Harrisons size and southpaw stance were'nt to Hayes liking at all

I think sometimes being too close to a fight can make it tougher to call. A lot of the time you hone in on something between the two men and forget to look at the bigger picture.

Amateur history can definitely play with a fighter's mind and make him do things he wouldn't normally do and diverge from what would be the correct game plan. However, there is such a gap in the performance level of these two men that Haye should still win this fight easily.

Fight is a total mismatch in my opinion. Harrison doesn't have a hope in hell. The only reason this fight is being made is the that Haye is avoiding the Klitchko's and Harrison despite having done nothing as a pro presents Haye with the best pay day as he is at least well known in Britain.

I've been over the gym in Reading with Sprott and done some sparing i was at Bracknell boys club, small world...
To be fair everyone has there opinion but i dont see Haye to wound up over Audley Harrison when he has beaten better Heavyweights already, I always thought Harrison had the talent, had the tools but the guy does lack Heart and spirit sometimes i feel frustrated watching Harrison caz if he went in with a purpose and started unleashing hell and leather and tried to take his man out they wouldnt know whats hit them, but he hasnt got it, and Haye will take care of him in the 4th round. :good

Cheers for the reply mate! Nice to read a well reasoned reply based on some boxing rationale.
The gonad huggers in their haste or more likely stupidity fail to realise that the article doesn't actually say categorically that Audley wins. The article points to some interesting dynamics that might make this far from the foregone conclusion many think it is. The article also rightly labels Audley as having been a waste of talent!

Harrison said himself that Haye battered him in sparring.

And Hayes loves fighting tall guys.
