That shows Khan didn't really want to fight Maidana. He should know that since Maidana is the interim champion, Maidana should get 45 percent split. But instead Khan offer a low ball of 30 or 35 percent split to Maidana. Lets hope Khan don't try to vacate the title.
To be fair Khan is pretty much hated on ESB and there are very few who like him so it may look like devotion, but I think it's just proportion.

It's a response to what he see's as the zealous and militant nature of Khan's haters. It's a balance where everyone comes off as a tit.

I didn't really have a sport I was really 'in to' till I started watching Khan. Khan being Pakistani Muslim was only a bonus to me. I like many fighters, I just don't post on them as much as I do on Khan. Do you have a problem with this?
No this is the way you negotiate fights, you never make a high offer at first, you build upto it. Maidana had the % he knew he could get in his head, Khan's camp must of been hoping he just takes a offer, they are not used to giving fighters 45% split more around 30% 35% if that split. Maidana just forced his mandatory with writing to the WBA, knowing he will get the backing because he holds the Interim title. Khan wont drop his belt, but will have to give up the 45% split.
Maidana has put his interim belt to good use. Neither fighter is looking to duck the other, both sides are just looking for the best deal. The fight will happen sooner than later.
this is great news the split will now be 55-45 so khan can finaly show his true colours he'll either act like a fighter and say **** it ill take it and destroy this fool or he can vacate and act like a greedy coddled brat who ducks his biggest challenges because he doesnt get everything his own way we'll see wat kind of fighter khan really is now

How often does WBA enforce this 45-55 split? The enforcement of rules seems to be very adhoc. In any case, Maidana has no grounds to be calling Khan a liar when he lied to everyone faking his injury and backing out of fights.
