    :huh

To take place on September 21st. Maidana's people asked for it. WTF happened here? I thought the fight was more or less a done deal? Anyway, I would not be surprised if Fwank makes a bid for this :yep

ESPN reported Maidana didn't proceed because he wanted a higher purse so it went to purse bids. They said thereselves that Maidana is the reason it didn't go forward because he wants more money.

So team Khan were reanalyzing the costs etc if the money can be negotiated again, but Maidana being desperate to cash out on all he can get has now called for Purse bids so I guess we'll see how it goes.

The next 10 days will tell us a lot.

FFS! Its gone to purse bids all that means is that Maidana thinks his purse is worth more on the open market than GBP/ Team Khan are offering him. Its no biggie.

I think Laz means the writer pays even more attention (of a different nature!!) to Khan than he does.

I expect the fight to be in the US now. HBO offered more for it to be there and thats only way Khan makes his million

    I think it's NoHomoJerome.

Given that BoxingNews24 aren't bothered about typo's and spelling mistakes I'd suggest the writer goes the whole hog and writes ''Con'' instead of Khan.

The general tone of the article is that the fight has gone to purse bids so Khan is automatically a ducker :huh

Then again..... he's got form for it hasn't he, with the Thaxton fight :hey

Maidana was happy to fight Bradley for $350,000 who is the current number 1 LWW and as soon as Khan's name is mentioned he is demanding more than $600,000, does that mean he knows he's going to lose that's why he is cashing out?why is he demanding such a high payday if Khan is over-rated?if I was in Khan's shoes I wouldn't hand out an extra $300,000 just so that people stop criticising me it doesn't make sense he should only pay Maidana what he is worth not a penny extra,if Maidana wins he will automatically become a star and his value will rise anyway so what has he got to be scared of????
