Better fighter: Johnny Tapia or Joe Calzaghe?

Dude you cant be serious in regards to Johnnys best wins:huh Either you a no nothing wannabe fan who gets his info from boxing records. OR maybe you have just left guys out on purpose to fit your weak argument. You left out quite a few guys better than some of the ones you mentioned.

If you consider yourself a knowledgeable boxing fan and dont know who these guys are you better think again. Or were you just trying to insult our intellingence by leaving these guys out?

 

I know Calzaghe is better at forcing a high pace then the fighters mentioned.
I have helped bring forward your acceptance that your hero lost.
Ive read on here before, that your known as being Fragile Popkins, and I can see how easily you have been broken down and dissected with ease.

For career I'd have to say washerwoman Joe, but I voted Tapia because he is so much more enjoyable to watch.

I was happy for Ayala when he got the payday vs Morales a month or 2 after that fight.... but thats only because Erik put a masterclass on him.

Johnson was a big puncher you dont even know who he is dip****, if you dont think he can punch ask a prime Junior Jones or Augie Sanchez whom he practically killed with one punch!!

Yey and you conviently left those others out but at least you acknowledged those guys could punch. Bottom line he fought at least as many big punchers as Calzage was never dropped(until he was an old man) and never hurt unlike Joe who was dropped numerous times and hurt badly.

I cant believe your trying to argue the obvious category in which Tapia was clearly head and shoulders above Calzaghe in:-(

the only times i saw calzaghe hurt, was against mitchell and jones.against jones, he was caught cold in the first round.. hay, it happens.after the first round, calz took much harder punches off jones without even blinking.

you also say that tapia was an old man when he got dropped.. how old was calzaghe when he got dropped by hopkins and jones?

Calzaghe because he never quit. Tapia quit once way back when he was beating up a lot of no hoper's. I can't remember who the guy was who made Tapia quit, but what I do remember is that Tapia was saying that he got thumbed in the eye and couldn't continue.

As far as resumes go Tapia's doesn't compare to Calzaghe's. His best win was against Romero. Nuff said.
