Will he be a contender:huh Or will fall to the first top fighter he faces?

The rest of you give him too much credit.

There will be no chance to fight his way up to a *big fight*, as he'll be beaten by the first half assed challenger he faces.

Someone like Timor Ibragimov eats this guy for lunch.

You're giving him way too much credit. Kali Meehan was a solid journeyman fighter.

He'll be in the future round-robin of UK fighters that fight each other over and over for the Brit or some other regional trinket. Just like Williams, Harrison, Sprott, Skelton did.

He's basically an Irish Tye Fields.

Fury has been brought carefully, fighting in England against British fighters who have a nice looking record. In my opinion he is just another guy who will have a peakmoment against a top 10 fighter but that will be it. Surely he will get a shot at a title but not as a mandatory who fought his way up in the top 10 rankings.
Fury will have a place between top 5 and top 20

agreed.... the only legitimate hvywt standouts are the klitschkos

this fight reminds me why i dont bother watching oversized guys fighting.... slow and sloppy

ehhh, basically its a "B class hvywt" vs a C class
this is in consideration though - B class in hvywt is comparable to c-class in more loaded divisions like supermids, welts, bantam
