HBO will pay 1.7 Million for the fight in the UK and the 55/45 split does not give Khan his 1.2Million that Golden Boy promised him. This is the reason for the reluctance to fight Maidana. I see this fight going ahead in the US now where HBO said they will pay 2 million for it.

And Khan is? Maybe in the UK Khan can get a full house, but so can Maidana in his home-country. Khan is not a greater draw in the US than Maidana is. And anyway, Maidana is the interim title holder, he is entitled to 45%, it is unfair of Khan to offer him any less.
