But it doesnt feel like a big night of Boxing. It just another fight.

When Lennox , Holy and Tyson were fighting , Even if it was a bum it was a Huge Night. There was a Buzz in the air.

To be honest I think that might be a case of looking back with rose tinted glasses. The world didn't exactly come to a standstill when Lennox Lewis was defending against, say, Andrew Golota, for example. You are right about it not feeling like a particularily big night, but it's a fight where 99% of people feel they already know the winner, so it won't be.

That's the politics and popularity contest of boxing for you. It's a big fight night for me and certainly is in Germany as well. As usual with major, worldwide sporting events though.. if it doesn't involve America, they'll largely ignore the event.

2 things. 1 there is no real talent anymore other than the brothers (maybe Haye and thats from a Haye fan), and 2, because theres no talent we pretty much know how the world title fights are guna pan out and in whose favour because theres no competition for them.

This division needs more talent and if that aint guna happen we need the brothers to retire so we can atleast have fights that can be close and competitive

Buzz? When Holyfield fought Moorer? Or when Lennox fought Mavrovich? LOL

You're remembering 2-3 "buzz" fights from each great champ and delude yourself that each and every fight was a FOTY. They weren't.

Before facing Holyfield in 1999 (3 years before retiring) Lennox had nothing to show for in terms of "big buzz" fights. Wlad still has 2-3 good years in front of them. Plenty of time to deliver one or two memorable fights.

The fact that I can't watch this fight live, certainly does not help the hype. I can't even watch it same day delay! I have to wait until tomorrow.
Then there is the fact that it's not really an intriguing match up. The only reason to tune is is like just in case something freaky happens, you don't want to miss it; but in reality this match up is about as close to a forgone conclusion as you can get in boxing

    ...And still WBO, IBF champ...!

    Yup.
I'm worried for the big guy though. I fear he may not grace us with his presence in the ring much longer.

If Klitschko was fighting Adamek or Haye, tehn the mood would be much different, and the occasion greater.

I'm looking forward to it. Peter is in good shape, and like everyone has been saying it'll be an interesting measure of how Wlad has improved

If you don't get Espn3.com, you can still watch it same day delay on ESPN Deportes. Yes, it'll be in Spanish, but the announcers are pretty much superfluous anyway.

Not true. You think much too much of these fighters. The causal fan has absolutely no idea who Adamek or David Haye are. And that's who creates the "buzz," causal fans.
