It's a shame they never fought when they were in thier primes. I always felt that JMM would have took him out. He's gonna take him out if they fight but won't mean or prove anything now.

At 126 lbs and above, Marquez was quicker, faster, stronger, and had a significantly ammount more stamina than Morales did.

I thought Morales was a terrific fighter and no question it would take another great fighter to beat him, but his supporters when discussing this prime for prime matchup with Marquez ignore the advantages Marquez had over him, the most important one being stamina, which always plays a key role when two greats matchup.

.......Morales just about always faded in the late rounds vs the better opposition he fought, and that includes the fights he won vs MAB and Manny Pacquiao.

......and I'm one that rates Morales higher than I do MAB, but I believe that a Morales fight prime for prime is an easier fight for JMM than it would have been a MAB fight prime for prime.

there decent fights that jmm can make at 135, vasquez, soto, kim.

them 3 should see him through to retirement.

As much as I want to see EM win another title. I think he should just retire and enjoy the fruits of his labor. I don't want him to get any more unnecessary damage.

Morales wont make 135 & be even close to full health these days so 140 or nothing I would say.

This fight was supposed to have been made years ago, but Arum kept JMM away from his then "cash cow" (Morales).

This is why JMM left Top rank and talked with Don King, before signing with Golden Boy Promotions.

Morales could hang with JMM in a boxing match, his long jab & straight right would cause JMM big probs all night & with his better chin & heavier hands would get the better of the brawling & infighting, I see Morales winning 7 rds vs JMM prime for prime with a flash KD threw in for good measure.

If Morales could be half of what he was 6 yrs ago, Ok, but at this point is lame.
