Dan Rafael said that Top Rank were trying to avoid Peterson by paying Peterson step aside money. I dont think anyone would duck Soto after his performance against Diaz, he looked poor.

One fight was on HBO and pays well.
The other was on a Jorge Arce undercard.

I'm not surprised which fight he took.

Er no...Soto turned down the Peterson fight. Look at Soto's opposition at LW? Not taking any risks is he? He's just looking to keep hold of the title until he can get a big money fight against Barrera or Morales.

Peterson is fighting Rios tonight in an "elimination bout" for the right to fight for thw WBA belt, when Peterson was already the #1 mandatory contender to Soto's WBC belt.

You dont hear Peterson complaining in any website, media, news, etc. that Top Rank, the WBC and/or Soto are not giving him a shot at Soto's title?????

Peterson ran to a different group (WBA), cause he dont want to fight Soto, cause he's scared of Soto, just like Pacman, Linares, Guerero all are.

heck, even Edwin Valero was so scared that he flew from his Costa Mesa, California home, to Venezuela in August of 2009, when Arum announce that he proposed to have Valero fight Soto on the Pac-Cotto Nov. 14 undercard.,,,and then claimed he cant come cause of VISA issued from a much earlier DUI/loaded firearm incident in Texas.

Where have you been? On the boxing talk website, Peterson was frusterated with Soto by not fighting him. Peterson has been saying that Soto is avoiding to fight him.

Peterson is being phased out because he doesn't make money.

both Peterson bros are good fighters. Brandon Rios isn't as experienced as Soto, but he's just as dangerous and I'm not complaining one bit about A. Peterson fighting Rios instead of Soto. Soto is a very good fighter himself, but I don't think Barrera, Morales, Pacquiao, etc didn't face Soto because they were afraid, but the money wasn't there. Soto's good, but not as good as those 3 were in their day. He looked awful vs. Diaz.

In his last 2 fights he looked real bad...Erik Morales if he wins will become his mandatory and even he says no way. Soto used to be a monster but now he looks average. I expect to see Soto fight DeMarco next
