In a video Manny stu. was saying how Wlad is the most talented HW he has ever trained including Lewis.. but hasnt had a chance to prove himself against some big big names, I do have to agree that wlad has more talent than lewis .. better foot work and more power in both hands.
Present day fighters are almost never given enough credit. Eventually people start praising old school fighters because it makes them look smarter (Bert Sugar).
Manny says a lot of things. Wladdy has made a beleiver out of me, and I do think that he will be remembered as a great champ, but Lewis was special in that he could tailer his approach to the opponent, blasting them out quick when they matched his reach and power, or boxing them slow, looking for the oppening, when he had the physcial advantages. We have not seen that from Wladdy yet.
Note he says talented and not best. He lacks the heart, chin and will to be the best, but definitely has bags of talent.
And with that, the award for the biggest "Licking of someone's Arse in history" is undoubtedly awarded to Manny Steward! Most talented HW EVER! Drop me right out for ****sake!
Steward always says things like that about the fighter he is training at the time such questions are asked of him. A few years ago he said that Lewis was one of the top 5 HW's of all time (this was shortly after his last fight) and that a rematch win over Klitschko would put him in the top 3. Wether you agree with that or not, it was certainly not the consensus opinion at the time, and probably still not now, and indicates that Steward is prone to hyperbole.
Can't you read? He said the most talented heavyweight he'd ever trained not the most talented ever. :rofl
Uhmmm. It's not at all head-slap-worthy to suggest that Wlad has more technical talent than Lewis. They were both gold medalist and distinguished amateurs as well as world champions. But if it make you happy, go ahead and slap your head. :huh
