Not trying to hate just asking Would you agree with me in that he is the best fighter ever in boxing to engage a clinch and lean in the clinch? Or does that go to John Ruiz who maybe did it more but probably wouldn't be as effective as Wladimir because Wladimir can also lean on the neck of his opponents working out his opponent back strength and the back of his neck and is a less sloppy as Ruiz. Opinions?

  2. He clinched early in the fight to neutralize Peter on the inside.. After round 5 Peter was the one holding.

Say what you want about Klitschko's holding, but you can't compare him to Ruiz AT ALL. Ruiz wasn't knocking people out after he held his opponents. Klitschko is now 13-0 with 11 KOs in the last 5 years.

Wlad's still a fairly sloppy clincher and doesn't protect himself on the break.

Honestly I am not hating on Wlad i think he is one of the best fighters right now but in their primes I think both Lewis and Vitali are way better than he is.

Wlad did his job and did it right... He won every round and knocked out a dude with a tree trunk for a neck. The knockout was good too.

Yes Wlad dominated. But does he have to hold so damn much? And why, when he has such advantages in the ring, does he almost never throw combos and absolutely never works the body. His fights are so damn boring and way longer than they need to be; he could have finished off Peter by about the 5th round the way his right hand was landing perfectly every time. Does he every throw the right hand, then pull back and let it unload again? He can do so much more!

He can, but doesnt need to.
The German audience will always tune to his fights regardless and he will be loved there.
I honestly like the fact that hes so damn defensive, i have the feeling that he will have a long career and dominant. Who are we to say "hes boring" when hes the one fighting guys in the ring....and then spectacularly knocking them out

He dominated the fight. He's simply more intelligent than all of you calling for more action and saying he's "boring." The guy fights smart and wins in dominating fashion. You gotta hand it to him, unless you think you can do better. I'd love to see this. Random douchebag on Eastsideboxing.com forum vs Wladimir Klitschko. You'd get KO'd from the first punch so shut your ***** ass mouth.

Wlad threw more than a few body shots and finally got the uppercut working for him. As for holding, he was the offender in that dept until round 4. After 4, Peter was walking in hoping for the clinch. After round 8, Peter was the clincher, and he refused to let go.

Good fight, lasted 4 rounds longer than it should have, but still a solid performance by Wlad.

Haye would be absolutely annihilated and he knows it. I hope the fight with Wlad takes place next year.
