Would anyone else consider Harrison a warm up for either Klitschko? I was thinking about this in the build up to Wlad v Peter. I know Haye has shouted his mouth off for a couple years now, and has yet to step in the ring with the dominant brothers. But when you ask for possible predictions for a Haye bout with either brother, the majority pick the Klitschko's, and give Haye a punchers chance (against Wlad anyway). Do you think Haye believes he needs at least one more bout with a big Heavyweight before he takes the risk? Don't get me wrong, Harrison literally has nothing in common with either brother apart from maybe height...is Harrison a sensible option to make money, but at the same time get some more experience with a tall, rangy Heavyweight? Adamek seems to be going along the same route ("slightly" more active)...but it would be great to see Adamek v Vitali, and Have v Wlad in the New Year. Also, just in case anyone thinks I am trying to justify Haye fighting Harrison...quickly check my post history concerning this bout, and you will find your answer.
I think Haye knows even with another 10 fights he will not have much more than a punchers chance against Wlad. He is either delaying the inevitable and take as much attention and money from his fans as possible before taking a beating from either K bro. Or he's not planning to fight any of them at all, and retire as soon as his fans' patience is finally gone.
After tonight he will be more confident than ever of beating Wlad That was awful awful stuff, no wonder his fights arent shown in the US, boring.
Its not a warm-up before Klitschko. Its a huge-money home fight. However experience against big guys is always useful. I think that its better experience than Valuev, because I believe that Harrison will be more active in the ring. Klitschkos are very active.
Haye has almost no shot against either Klitschko. The first time Wlad hits him with a stiff jab, he may go down.
He wont be hitting Haye with any stiff jabs, he wont know whats hit him when he gets into the ring with someone as explosive as Haye Wlad will literally **** himself right there and then before taking his medicine People are mistaken here, the realisation wont be hitting Haye in the 1st round, the realisation will hit Wlad, it wont be pretty.
I realise that...but if you look at Haye's last 3 bouts at Heavyweight, the only real resemblance to a Klitschko is Valuev in terms of height. Harrison is faster than Valuev, is only an inch or 2 shorter than both brothers, and apart from the huge gulf in class/experience...he could gain a fair bit of knowledge for however long the bout lasts. Harrison is a southpaw, which is more of a hindrance really...but Haye could use this bout to pick up his punch output and stamina.
Haye wants as much money as he can get before he opens up and spreads his cheeks for Big Vitali or Wladimir. He has NO SHOT at winning against either brother and he knows it. Its about the money with Haye. Povetkin knows hes got no shot either.
I thought it was a good performance in parts for Wlad. He came out quickly and closed the show well...pity about the middle rounds though. Haye's reflexes will have to top notch if and when he faces Wlad...a big right hand could have him in trouble.
