Alright, this fight would be an abomination in the 175lb division, but in a strange way I find it interesting. Miranda has been ktfo so much lately that it's pretty clear he has a fragile mandible at this point. However, even though Miranda is slow getting his big punch off...it's not like Cloud is a big fan of head movement or getting out of the way of punches(at least lately). Mirand is also a pretty large super middleweight now, walking around at about 200lbs and rehydrating to the high 180s, so why not give 175 a shot?

How do you guys see this? A brutal one-sided affair for Cloud or does Miranda spring a surprising upset?

Every good boxer Miranda faces puts a beating on him. I have Cloud doing the same. Good fight if you ask me.

    Bute: 81% KO ratio.

Abraham: KO ratio about 85% back then.

Pavlik: KO ratio 85% now, over 90% back then.

It's not really fair to criticize Miranda's chin.

However, I think Cloud would stop him pretty much the same way Pavlik did. Put him on the back foot, and just beat the holy living **** out of him.

I find it interesting too because both are such explosive (and up there in the p4p hardest) punchers in boxing, yet both seriously lack boxing ability. I think at 175 though Cloud definitely takes it.

Tavoris destroys him and detroys him prety damn quickly. I can't believe that after all this time fans still overrate Miranda and his abilities even after all these dominant losses he's suffered. :verysad

I wasn't criticizing Miranda's chin back then. I didn't see him enough to rate it. However, any time you've been knocked out repeatedly...and in some cases quite viciously, your chin is going to deteriorate. At this point, after his 3 KO losses, it makes me think his chin is pretty cracked at this point. Not that Andre Ward is about the KO him...but I could see a decent puncher like a Froch(who's never KO'd anyone of note) take him out.

Happens for a lot of fighters. There's only been 2 people who picked Miranda in this poll, so I don't think a whole lot of people are overrating Miranda right now.

The fact that they think he'd be even mildy competitive against a bigger world class fighter shows you that he's still overrated in a sense. Good fight my ass... he'd be completely annihilated.

Okay -- I get ya. I don't think Miranda ever fully recovered from the Pavlik fight. He went into that fight on top of the world, screaming for a shot at Taylor, and got beat like the proverbial red headed step-child. I do not think that beating was purely physical. I think it took a lot away from Miranda on other levels as well.

Fair enough. I certainly see where you are coming from, I mean I picked Cloud I would expect it to be a violent victory. However, I think, or at least I hope, the people who picked him are simply taking into account that Miranda has a big punch and Cloud is pretty hittable. However, even saying that, I would expect Cloud to win pretty handily.

I don't always agree on the Pavlik ruined ______ type logic, but this one I can agree on. I don't think Miranda was ever really anything special (outside of being a hard puncher) but that was an all-out beating. To be punched that repetitively and that hard without getting the hell out of the way for several rounds would take a toll on anyone.
