After watching a couple of rounds of this fight against a trial horse Orlando Salido .... I am not impressed!!!

Gamboa has very good quickness, however he has no timing and has technical deficiencies.

And he wants to fight Juanma Lopez?

    Bring it on!!! :rofl:rofl:rofl

Not only does Salido telegraph....he sends a postcard for every punch he throws and still is tagging Gamboa.

I noticed Gamboa is a sucker for the left cross.....!!!!

Maybe not. I thought I liked Gamboa but not feeling him right now. Plus he needs to use more technique right now instead of showboating. He isn't even good at showboating.

I do find it funny that people talk about Khan's glass jaw yet never mention Gamboa's because he hasn't lost a fight due to it yet. As soon as he loses by KO/TKO he'll become the next joke on ESB. Such is the ******ed view on here

nuff said, couldnt even knockout the epitome of a journeyman fighter. i still got gamboa whitewashing lopez, he juts tends to drift off in fights and loses focus. you see when he really commits himself all hell breaks loose

Title should have been Bum vs Bum.

The bum Gamboa hit Salido at the back of his head after he is down but....

.... the bum Salido did not pretend he cannot get up anymore. He should have won the fight.

    Whatever!!!

Gamboa showed a lot of amateaurish flaws tonite.....say what you will, but Juanma will starch Gamboa.
He is just not ready for Juanma!!!

Salido is not in the same class as Mtagwa.

Salido is super slow and landed way too many punches...had some timing.

Unfortuneately Gamboa is quick but does not have good timing.

I used to be a bit nervous about this matchup with Juanma, but now....
    bring it on!!!
    Juanma will starch him!!!

anyone can showboat and look good at against weak opposition but put yourself in the ring with a pro and the flaws start to come out. Everyone knows he has these flaws they just didnt want to admit it because he was flashy. yes the boy has got skills but he needs to tighten up his defense and raise his damn gloves he is no dirrell when it comes to moves.

Some observations from a neutral fan since I am neither Cuban nor PR.

Gamboa is definitely faster than Lopez, but Lopez seems to hit harder than Gamboa.

Lopez also seems more technically skilled than Gamboa.

Gamboa seems to lose focus and is frustrated easily. Example: When Salido didn't go away after Gamboa went all out, Gamboa seemed to get frustrated and started fouling and started getting hit a lot more. If Salido had a little more power and threw straighter shots Gamboa would have been in real trouble.

It also seemed that Salido's pressure was troubling Gamboa. Mind you, Salido didn't apply the best pressure, but to me it looked like Gamboa at times looked a little uncomfortable in there.

At this point it I would have to lean on a Lopez victory by TKO.

Hopefully all d questions will b answered when they meet, althought Juanma still has to pass by Marquez, they think he is a shot fighter, I said he has a shot a knocking out JML.
