    1) I thought Martinez won but with a fully camp he'll have better conditioning and if he doesn't stand toe to toe as much he'll have an even easier time

    2) Trilogy? Margarito, Quintana, arguably Cintron since he was losing and now with all the feet dragging and whining Paul did before he finally agreed to have a Martinez rematch. Paul wouldn't deserve it given his track record.

Now see? Here's some more of that revisionist history I mentioned. Williams isn't the one who called out a 39 year old welterweight coming off a loss, or a light-middle prospect. Martinez and diBella had absolutely no interest in a Williams rematch until HBO told them they would not buy any other fight.

I'm not saying Williams is innocent. I'm just saying people ought to take a good look at Martinez as well. Can you imagine how much **** Taylor or Pavlik would have gotten for calling out the current version of Shane Mosely? This place would have exploded with hate threads, but in Martinez's case everybody had a million excuses about why it was a "great fight!":patsch

    1) well same with williams, this is something i think is kinda one sided, once williams get fully prepared for the right opponent not a "2 weeks notice" one he will come out firing

    2) theres no doubt he beat Margarito soundly, he spanked quintana in their rematch, and if cintron really wanted to fight he woulda got back into the ring instead of showing off his "theater" skills so if this one is close too and martinez wins it, they are definetly gonna be beating the drum for a rematch

I think Cintron could beat Williams as well if there was ever a rematch... and possibly by knockout.

When was that, 2 + months ago? And what the hell has Williams been doing all this time? When Williams didn't want it right away Martinez looked for a possible money fight, big deal, they didn't end up fighting.

Willaims fighting a 37 yr old Winky coming off a 20 month layoff...

    1) Williams had a full camp. Only thing that changed was his opponent and considering that 3 of his prior 5 fights were vs southpaws and that he had Quintana in camp to help during those 4 weeks he knew he was fighting Martinez i don't see how that in any way compares to Sergio having a 4 week camp which undoubtably played a larger role in the fight with his conditioning than any other factor.

    2) i don't care enough to dig them up but the majority of ring side observers, journalists and boxing website reporters had the Margarito fight very very close, some even having Antonio winning.

Dude, shut up already. Martinez smashed Pavlik's face in and had your boy leakin. And then on top of that, Pavlik pussied out of his mandatory rematch because he "wanted to move up." And now he's fighting his next fight at 160! So Martinez not only completely dominated Pavlik, he scared him out of taking his mandatory rematch that he could have had. That's why you're so butthurt and negative about everything Martinez does.

On topic, I had the first fight as a draw, but I see Martinez winning the rematch because he'll have more time to formulate a good gameplan and train correctly this time. It should be an amazing fight though and no matter who wins, there shouldn't be a third match.

This rematch has Middleweight epic matchup written all over it.
    So much at stake.

Martinez will have a full training camp and want to prove that he beat Williams the first time around.
Williams feels the pressure and shut his critics up that he is an elite fighter.
Winner has a great chance at being the next opponent for Pac or PBF if they reach a stalmate again.
The middleweight title is at stake.
Winner jumps up to #3 P4P (atleast for most rankings)

Not to mention of how last year's fight was a FOTY candidate as well.

Williams insists on the fight being in his home town, with his criminal judges and referee. Williams will fall down and try to push Martinez out of the ring, then Goosen's doctor will prevent him from getting. Then fight will be given to Williams. Martinez will need a knockout to get a split decision! Watch and see.

Well according to Dan Rafael's chat log and despite HBO announcing the fight. Dibella has said no contracts have been signed and a venue hasnt been selected but says it most likely will and the venue is likely Atlantic City.
