Was Klitschko-Peter actually a decent fight or was it another Klitschko borefest?

Rounds one a two were okay, three through nine were terrible. Manny shouted at him before the 10th and he came out pumped and did what he should have done in the third or fourth.

You're not allowed to do it, the rule just isn't enforced enough.

Rounds 1 and 2 were exciting, then it was 7 rounds of Peter being beat up in a one-sided but boring fashion. He looked like crap and took a beating but Wlad didn't put him away because he fights very safe and strategically. Then finally he got aggressive in round 10 and finished him.

It was somewhat entertaining but pointless in the overall scheme of things. Wlad is impressive but there are no compelling opponents to make good fights, only Haye.

Thing is, if one of the Klits beats Haye, there really are no interesting fights in the heavyweight division. When Klits retire, it's a wasteland.

I'd kind of rather watch Haye fight a bunch of bums in exciting fashion than see him get put away and then what...?

Put it this way, I was flabbergasted to see that there was quite a few people on the General who actually thought that was good viewing. It was horrible for most part, Wladimir once again had an undersized, past-prime, slow opponent in front of him, but rather than step it up to get the early knockout we were promised, he forced us to watch several rounds of holding. David Haye will not be shaking in his boots at home watching that. Peter had absolutely nothing to offer after the first round, but I give him credit for sticking in there.

It was a decent fight. It was a typical Wladimir Klitschko type fight though. He broke Peter down and finally went in for the kill. Though I thought Klitschko could've stopped Peter a round or so earlier if he wanted to test the waters. Like other posters said, the first couple rounds were interesting because it determined the phase for the rest of the fight. The middle rounds up until round 8 were similar. Then we wonder if the fight will be stopped and Klitschko gets agressive in the 10th and floors Peter in route to a nice stoppage win. The KD looked like a KO.

The first two rounds were okay but the rest was terrible. If that shits floats your boat then fine, but there was too much clinching, wrestling and WALDO just didn't sit down enough on his punches, even when Peter was clearly beaten or slowing. It was a typical WALDO fight but I can't see that he was unloading bombs earlier as Manny had promised. I was more impressed with WALDO in his first fight with Peter than last night. I'd have felt ripped off had I paid for that fight on PPV. For Klitschko, well he's unbeaten in six years and is still winning but I was on the point of turning the fight off and going to bed.

    We have a winner folks.

Back to the original question, was it an exciting performance? Depends on if you're a Klitschko fan or not and if you like watching one fighter dominate. It was a bit more exciting live because Peter is supposed to be an explosive puncher and Klitschko's jaw is supposed to be made of egg shells and paper.

No wonder Haye refuses to fight Vitali or Vlad..........

Peter did a lot of holding. Peter was really hurt. Good fight. Haye will never fight Vitali or Vlad! Never!

Wlad is not proficient in the art of clinching. All fighters clinch but when you make it too obvious or it falls into a pattern, it turns people off, especially when you are the bigger fighter. In some of his fights, Wlad approaches John Ruiz territory, and Ruiz was hated by a lot of people for the non stop holding.
