Your phraseology was ambiguous as You stated that he won "one round on the judge's scorecards.

And as he won one round on ONE judges scorecard, technically you are correct.

Not too many thought he won any rounds. And there were a few tonight who called the first round of Wlad's fight close.

At any rate, not a huge point nor worth arguing over too much.

I felt that Sam suffered more punishment tonight, but only because he was more spirited and less intimidated by Wlad than his meaner bigger brother.

    All's good.

Vitali's win was better, it was more entertaining, more agressive and he threw more shots and a greater variety. You could see the hate on Vitali's face, and how he intimidated Peter.

Wlad's win was a solid, uninspiring one sided beat down. He took away Peter's heart, and you could see from the second round onwards that Peter was in pain.

It is close, but for entertainment and agression in the win it is Vitali.

I agree for the most part, with one distinction. I had a feeling it was Peter who was going for the hug after round 4. It just felt like he was completely gassed, taking his head down and running into Wlad's mid section repeatedly.

Perhaps. But Wlad has come a long way in getting much mentally tougher since his Sanders defeat. Last night was a confirmation of that.

    wlads stoppage was ok.

but considering vitali vs peter was seen pre-fight as not far off even. the edge must go to vitali. vitali pounded peter into literal submission. he hadnt fought in 4 years, he looked just as good as he always had. plus peter was coming off an arguable career best victory prior to that fight.

wlad beat a guy he had already beaten, a guy who had been pounded from pillar to post by vitali, and a guy who eddie chambers soundly outboxed. wlad was a massive favourite and the fight went the way people expected it to.

He didn’t exactly win that round because majority of the judges gave it to Vitaly. So technically he didn’t win a single round in their match up

I'd give the edge to Vitaly. He took Peter's spirit right in round 1 with those left hooks. That's where he broke him down. Took Wlad a couple more rounds.

Going with Vitali because Peter was a little younger and a little less beat up at that point. Vitali was also making a comeback and jumped right in with him and was completely dominating.

It's ok, keep your copy-paste "prediction" handy when Wlad's next opponent is announced:D

If I remember correctly that was first opponent I predicted to beat Wlad since Calvin Brock.
