Why do fighters love standing in Wlad's kill zone??

What I see time and time again, against Wlad, fighters just seem to go meet him head on and eat jabs for 8-10 rounds before getting stopped. Why don't any of those guys, and more so their corners, realize that when a man is 6ft 6, 240 lbs and has a jab and a straight right that, as the most used punches, why are they not offering any angles and LATERAL movement?? why the hell do they just keep moving in straight lines?

Notice that Wlad doesn't even need to cut the ring off, cos these guys are just not moving. Is it that they have no idea how to use their feet? or that they just don't have the fitness, the athleticism, stamina to be able to execute such a game plan?

Movement will mean he will have to reach, which in turn would take him off balance giving a countering window. These fights are proof that Wlad is able to fight in his comfort zone, because the opponent is just there in front of him trying to win a shoot out. It's stupid to try and outgun him, so where are the skilled boxers at?? heavyweight division really is a joke.

Fair play to Klits for beating who is infront of of them, but these opponents just make it all so easy.

Your question sounds like you assume Wlad's opponents have a simple choice to make between subjecting themselves to his dominance in the ring or simple taking charge of the fight. It doesn't work like that. Wlad makes them fight his fight and there is little these guys with a lack of range and no footwork to speak of can do about it.

Here's a rhetorical question: Why didn't the victims of Mike Tyson simply jab and hammer him from the outside and tie him up in close quarters? Surely they must have known that would be the gameplan?! Why didn't they figure it out?

Iron Mike's answer: Everyone has a plan until they get hit.

I'm sure everyone fighting him is aware of the proper strategy. Sometimes its easier said than done.

because all the heavyweights at the min are extremely poor and thats all they know what to do.

i wasnt impressed with wlad at all last night, all he does is jab jab hold, jab jab hold and all these heavyweight fools just keep walking into it until they are broken down and get kod. I honestly think wlads there for the taking if a heavyweight with some skill happens to come along

There aren't many heavyweights left who have good lateral movement. The art of slipping punches is pretty much dead in the upper divisions.

Too fat, too unfit and too slow to slip the jab.

Byrd and Chambers were above average examples in that department and look how Wlad ground them to mincemeat.

I think the bobbin 'n weavin' and lateral movement theories do not hold any test of history with Wlad. Not a single fighter in Wlad's career (with the exception of Sanders with his early ambush) was able to neutralize Wlad's offensive weaponry. The jab and the left hook are simply too strong and hard to see for fighters dealing with a reach disadvantage.

If you want to beat Wlad then either you ambush him early on (Sanders style) because you know your chin sucks or you rely on your chin to weather the early punishment and then try to catch Wlad after he slows down a bit.

The problem with the latter strategy is that I have a feeling Wlad's stamina is greatly improved over the last few years, possibly due to better cardio conditioning and diet/nutrition discipline. He was chasing down Chambers and Peter with a good dozen of big power punches in the late rounds, he was unable to do that consistently just a few years ago where he gassed and looked vulnerable due to stamina problems in more than a few fights.

most of klits opponents are fat and out of shape who wont move their head even if a punch was coming at them at 3 miles per hour

**** when was the last time someone tried circling them and using lateral movements?

Not all of then do that tbh.
Haye for once prefers to stay comfortably a few thousand miles away, across the body of water, behind locked doors and under his bed. And from there he masterfully keeps Wlad at bay with his unparalleled linguistic assaults and brutal pieces of garment.

This is why I think the Haye fight would be far more competitive then any of Wlad's recent fights. It's still about 60:40 in Wlad's favour though.

  12. Could it be that Wlad has some serious ****ing skills?
