Should Wladimir Klitchko be allowed by the ref to do what he always does?

    lol

If the trainers were smart, they would communicate to the ref in the pre-fight to watch out for some of the "behaviors" of the opponent. They may be excessive clinching or hitting under the belt or headbutting...

D00d, its like your little kid watching boxing.... Daddy, why is he doing this, why is he doing that? How about STFU and watch the fight already!

Stop your little kid thread starting already!

Bottom line, this is boxing. Its just you and the man who stands against you. You can't/don't count on the ref, you don't count on your opponent to follow the rules, you do what you have to do to win.

This isn't some new development in Wlad's arsenal, it's well known and well documented. You either train to counter it, or you accept it and lose. The choice is yours and yours alone.

Anyone fighting Wlad knows what to train for; they have miles of footage to watch and plenty of fighters to talk to about his tactics and hire as sparring partners.

If you fight Wlad, you either train and bring it, or fall like the rest.

Thats all allowed, he isnt the best skilled so he uses holding as defence.

What i didnt like was the ref letting wlad put the open hand glove in his face and nit get warned for it.

As soon as sam even tried he got pulled up in the corner for it by the ref and told not to do it again.

Not true at all. You haven't watched the fight. Ali clinched, leaned on the ropes, and held Foreman behind the head (clearly illegal) all night long. It was a brilliant tactic, but it was illegal. And that's the point. Boxers get away with what they can get away with. If the ref doesn't warn them and its helping, they can and really should continue to do it. They'd be idiots not to. They're in a dangerous situation and they should do whatever they can to gain an advantage.

Klitschko was warned several time for pushing in the clinches. Watching the fight a second time, it was Sam that initiated about 90 percent of the clinches after round 5.

Wlad's clever though. A lot of the time he doesn't actually hold. He punches then steps forward and leans on his opponent in a way that they can't punch in return. I think that's one of the reasons the refs don't warn him for holding. The other reason being that he puts 40,000 people in the stands, same as Ali.

Damn straight...Peter seemed to fall into Wlad's arms when he came in as much as he threw. Wlad did a good job last night. A damn sight more interesting than his fights with Imbragimov and Chambers anyway.

:deal ****ing noobs. That was an ugly ugly fight. Ali gets credit because of his age and for being the underdog and getting the win, but he cheated like crazy to do it

Just like Atlas was saying, the opportunity was there to hit Wlad. He could have stepped back and hit him with an uppercut.

I watched the fight, i suggest you listen to your own recomendations.

He kept putting the open glove in his face, that is not allowed. Pushing in clinches is different to the subject i am on about.

Wlad's boring, for sure. Only Germans are blind enough to go there and pay money to see a boring fight.

I rather watch it somewhere online illegal and be glad I haven't wasted my money, box is about to entertain us, not to bore the **** outa us.

Sport by side, excitement must be.

Absolutely right. I own the dvd "When we Were Kings," which is about the Rumble in the Jungle. Ali got away with murder because he was a huge crowd favorite. Of course, you can't blame him. It's the ref's job to enforce the rules, no the fighters.
