Noob or not, you're dead right. The best fighter, not just Heavyweight, never to win a world title.

    Sam Langford.
    Harry Wills.
    Ken Norton.
    Vitali Klitschko.

The Black Heavyweight Championship, and the WBC belt, do not count as World Titles.

Harry Wills, Sam Langford are the biggest examples. Then other old school guys like Joe Choynski, Tom Sharkey, Peter Jackson, Sam McVea, and Joe Jeannette. Vitali is the only modern example I can think of.

i think langford is a good pick but as a HEAVYWEIGHT, the records of guys like wills and mcvea deserve a higher ranking. langford is easily, as henke said, the best fighter all around but there were heavyweights with better records that never received their shot
