First time I rooted for Ruiz. But that first knockdown, it didn't look like a big punch, but it also made Ruiz fold up as he went down.
a beast?? man shut up. beating a washed up john ruiz who was 38 years old and hadnt beaten a top 10 contender in 5 years.....doesnt make 1 a beast.... last time i checked, BEASTS dont call out the real champ and bail out of fights on more than 1 occasion
ur points are very true . My point is the man can punch , vagina or not he can punch , he s fast , agressive style , hes fun to watch , but he needs to grow some balls , which i think he will .
Thats what made me a fan of him in the first place but looking at it again....he was banging Ruiz all night long and it took him 8 rounds to finish an older man off....thats kind of poor. Klitschko hardly throws and Kos opponents the first time he opens up
He really should have finished Ruiz off in a round. Haye gets too wild when he hurts an opponent. After dropping Ruiz with that beautiful 1-2, Haye didn't throw a straight punch for the rest of the round. Ironically, that might actually help against the Klitchkos. The tragedy with Haye is that he created all that interest in the heavyweight division when he moved up, and has squandered it all. Now, if he does fight Wlad and loses, he will be a laughing stock. Before, if he'd have gone for it without all the bull**** but left on his shield after a gutsy performance, he would have at least gained some respect. Now, he's got to spark Wlad out just to break even. Still, like the OP said, inside the ring, he is great to watch and 'should' have been the fighter to reignite the division.
This is a man who is nothing but a gatekeeper to smaller man moving up where talking about here? I'm still not sold on Haye at heavyweight. Sure he's entertaining and theres plenty of reason to like him but honestly....
A beast? Watch how many punches Ruiz landed on Haye. His defense is awfully sloppy. He has power - I'll give him that, but his body coordination in offense looks amateurish. As he throws he goes off balance and a decent counter punch will send him on the canvas. That's why I think that Harrison has a higher chance against Haye than many believe. Audley is mediocre as a fighter overall, but he has one-punch power that can finish Haye if the timing is right.
You're out of your mind. I don't remember the last time Wlad fought a boxer below top-10. Vitali slipped with Sosnowski, and that's about it. Care to counter this?
So it took Haye one less round to knockout a far inferior fighter than his "rival" Wladimir did to Peter. Peter is much better than Ruiz. And that second knockdown was kind of BS. Haye vs. Vitali I'd predict a 5th round KO and vs. Wladimir it'd be a TKO or RTD 9-12. Haye is extremely overrated. I'm not so sure he has done enough in the heavyweights to be ranked above Povetkin or Adamek. Call me crazy.
Haye's a beast!! I think Ruiz has been stopped maybe once before!! that one round was more exciting than the boring jab and hug fest over the weekend!!
I'm a david haye and it's sad to say I agree with your comments but nevertheless i'm still happy with the win! :yep
