I don't like Haye and Audley is a joke but the fight should be an event.

My hatedred of Haye has now reached irrational levels so you can take my comments with a pinch of salt.

    An anarchist hey...:think

Btw so did Oscar Wilde who's rebuttle would be...The man who is a pessimist before 40 knows far too much and if he's an optimist after that he knows far too little. So i'm guessing you're no spring chicken?

So what was your attraction to anarchism Strongback? Oh and i wasn't insinuating that you were an old pessimistic fart. Don't know how anyone could come to that conclusion. LOL!

Since I can remember I never accepted common wisdom dished out to us. I read "The Outsider" by Albert Camus like a lot of other disenfranchised teenagers but it was a real epiphany moment for me. Thing really fell into place and I had a justification for my views. That book is really powerful and while I always did a lot of thinking about things I wasn't a mature enough 15 year old to take it as a thesis and instead I took it too literally and almost as a blueprint for living. That wasn't a great idea as I became so self sufficient I pretty much lived my life in my head. No man is an Island and I had to learn that.

I've always swam against the stream and questioned everything. I need to prove things myself and not just be told things. People who tell us what to do generally have their own agenda.

    I'm off to bed.

    Good night and good luck.

You seem like a level-headed person who found the wrong philosophy. We're all searching at that age...I know the feeling as i had a similar path to yourself (with religion and politics/socialism) those ideas i realise now are confused but we're attracted like the moth to light in that young naive mindset.

My objection to anarchism is that i believe in essence a state must have some sort of arbiter of legality...you can call it governance if you want, but there simply must be a legal order as in my view a stateless society is in of itself criminal. I think although you'll correct me if i'm wrong, Anarchism is also inextricabily bound with the idea of Marxism, which i'm somewhat opposed to.

Now, obviously i realise you have extremes in anarchism just like with anything else...You might get the liberal philosopher or the fascist nationalist anarchist, but i just feel at it's core anarchism is a rejection of society and perpetuation of choas, advanced by utopians and authoritarians.

Soz if i'm harsh or sound like i'm trying to rubbish your ideals, but thats just my conclusion.
