    Self-explanatory.

Name which fight is your definition of the most impressive, most effective, all-round best performance in a heavyweight fight from the 2000s.

If your answer is not one I have listed, choose other then comment to name your pick.

Vote and comment to explain your answer :good

Lewis against Tyson - I voted for Rahman by mistake, that was pretty good too all things considered.

Not many options to pick from so I am looking at the last time 2 great HWs clashed with as close to 50/50 as you can get.

Vitali Lewis was a great fight but Lewis was poor for the start before getting to work. Vitali was better but the way the fight ended (with Lewis on top) i don't think i can pick either fighter's performance.

Lewis-Tyson was close to a 50-50?! I disagree completely. For me, Tyson was a complete shell by then. I put it in the poll just to be fair, but I don't think it belongs in there really. That's just my opinion though. It was a very dominant display by Lewis, I'll grant you that, but it certainly wouldn't be my own selection from the options.

I'm split between Vitali's performance against Lewis, and Lewis' performance against Rahman.

Lewis wasn't in the greatest shape against Vitali, that has to be a factor. But was Vitali expected to give Lewis as much trouble as he did? He was pushing Lewis back at times and hurting him...and in turn stood up to some very powerful shots.

Lewis v Rahman II was a very impressive performance from Lewis just for the fact that Rahman had KO'd him a bout earlier.

Oleg Maskaev knocking Rahman out through the ropes for the SECOND time in as many fights gets my vote. Absolutely amazing to do that to a guy once, but twice?

I voted Jones Jr vs Ruiz. That was a great fight where a small man went up a weight to beat a bigger title holder(weakest though). Ruiz was not a bum so for Jones to completely dominate him like that was very surprising.

lewis rahman 2 was especially great considering lewis was in decline and obviously had a point to prove. that right hand nearly killed rahman

Well Tua was a dangerous opponent and Lewis mostly toyed with him, there are probably more dominating performance though

I don't think Lewis did really toy with him, I think he fought very cautiously and safely, taking no risks and trying to box his way through to the bell in every round. I don't think this performance was the best of Lennox Lewis at all. His performance in the second Rahman fight was much better. Rahman was as dangerous as Tua was, perhaps even more so since Rahman had already proved he could KO Lennox, and Lennox fought like the real Lennox Lewis that night. Vs Tua, I don't think he did. JMO.

Haven't watched the fight in a while, same with Rahman 2, I recall Lewis dropping his hands and playing with Tua a bit but you may very well be right.
