Where is Chris John? He has not fought in 2010. All you hear is about Gamboa, and the two 122 champs that moved up to 126 in Juanma and Celesto. Unless he was hurt and I did not hear about it, he should be in the mix with these guys. Is it maybe he is not an Arum fighter?

i remember - he was suppose to have a title defense this summer?
Specifically, it was against Fernando David Saucedo, ranked #24 in the world by BoxRec. Think John had to pull out of the fight due to an injury though...

How dangerous is Fernando Saucedo? His record speaks for himself....
    38Win, 1KO, 4Losses, 3Draws

yeah.... Chris wont match up against heavy punchers....
i dont consider rocky juarez as a heavy puncher - a cumulative puncher, same w/ JMM

I think its pretty obvious that GBP dont know what there doing when it comes to promotion. Why should they market a guy like John on HBO, to force fans into wanting him to fight Gamboa, and Lopez? When they have great boxer like Ortiz and Jacobs to showcase. Personally I would put him on the undercard of Marquez and mention him being one of the only few guys to have a win over him.

I feel for Chris John got great talent but yet he isnt as marketable as other guys.

A fight against Gamboa would sell me.

And i would be going for John because im a fan he resides in Australia.

I read that he was injured a few times in training for his next fight. Date keeps getting pushed back.

John is a very good talent and is good enough to upset Gamboa, Caballero, or Lopez. He's not a flashy guy, but is very good all around fighter.

he may be unproven vs the young top elites, but then again, the top elites are rather unproven vs the veteran elites (John, caballero)
John has wins over JMM and Rocky Juarez...
enuf said about John's skillz at a certain level

im interested on how he'll match up against a power puncher for the first time....

So, you're better than a double Juan Manuel Marquez? :yikes...I'm so impressed...I...I take it all back. Are you a featherweight, by the way? And what's your record?
