Always been wondering, his unique style and KOs were something I never seen anywhere on this planet and doubt we'll ever see. Not counting the last fights, surely prime would win these. But gimmie your option.
I actually think you could have made a case for top 5 and im not even close to being a big jones fan. RIght know though id put around 20.
I hate it when people do this. Was Ray Robinson knocked back for his late stage losses? Was Armstrong? ...I don't understand this mentality. You cannot erase accomplishments, or what you were in your prime, because of CLEARLY past prime losses. Nobody says "If Ali just retired before losing to Spinks..."
Top 70. His achievements at heavy are vastly over rated. All he did was beat a poor top ten heavy. If Armstrong had fought and beat a top 10 heavy no one would think anything of it. Its just the alphabetti spaghetti makes people believe he was the heavyweight champ.
All im saying is it was a nothing victory and would have been a waste of time for his legacy had it not been for an alphabet belt. The belts are ruining the sport and make it impossible to objectively rate fighters. Like Pacquiao beating top 5 ranked Diaz at lightweight or Mayweather Baldomir or David Haye beating SNV.
