Old school - James Toney maybe of the more recent guys who could slow the pace of a fight - who could fight in the pocket and had a much broader range of skills than most allowing him to hang with heavyweights when really no-more than a super middleweight when in shape - skills wise he made most modern fighters at the higher weights look a little bit limited as i think a lot of the 'olden day' fighters would make them look - the only difference being his paunch would make him look a bit slobbish back in the days of the likes of Ez Charles etc. Enough of a gunslinger mentality to have the balls to challenge anybody aswell

A guy like Glen Johnson. Works hard, and willing to fight anyone anytime.

Old school skills is fighters who add different dimensions to their games, particularly infighting.

Johnson fills the bill for me, too, l. Of the newer breed, think I'd add Andre Ward -- so well-schooled, so well-rounded. Has every tool but an eraser. Can go to plan B, C, 'n D, if need be, 'n is a model ol' school in-fighter. He doesn't out-macho top-tier fighters inside, he shuts 'em down 'n beats 'em down; plus, he has more than a fair share of Zivic tricks in his arsenal.

Why would you characterize Camacho, Jr. as ol' school, S? Got alotta wins in a short time, 'n hooks well to the head 'n body, but that's it. Not a defensive whiz or an adroit in-fighter.

For some reason I think of an ol school fighter as one that has good technique though for the most part I think it would be one that is willing to take risks and is cagey when need be. Demarcus Corley can be considered ol school he's cagey, has technique, and will fight anybody.

Yeah right. Thats about as far from it as you can get. The guy who exposed him for the fraud he is could probably be classified as one though.. James Leija
