RIos vs peterson

PETERSON got whooped.

 

The weight on fight night does not matter. Its the weight the night before that matters. That's just boxing, and its been like that since I can remember.

 

Well obviously Rios is a naturaly bigger fighter. But he takes the risk of draining himself to make the weight. If Rios is able to make weight, and fight effectively than Rios is only doing what many other fighters have in
the past. It does catch up to these fighters though, eventually he will not be able to do this effectively. But until than, it is a clear cut advantage that any fighter would take advantage of. It's not unfair, as long as he is making the weigh in limit. If he would have came in over weight, than it would be unfair to both Peterson and boxing.

I dont get this.

Rios taking more of a risk by doing something that is known to be very unhealthy and have bad long term effects and some bad short term affects.

 

If thats a problem for Peterson, maybe he needs to fight at 130 in stead.

 

Well I agree there should be some limit, like the IBF has. But until then, it's fair and within the rules. Maybe they should bring back same day weigh-ins.

No fighter goes into a fight weighing less than he did at a weigh in. The unofficial weight is pointless and usually inaccurate. Peterson weighed at least 140 at fight time. This is a wasted thread.
