    Tho not greats, i am surprised Harding - Andries has missed out. Lee - LoCicero was a hummer too.

    I'd say maybe Ad Wolgast after 40 rounds of sheer brutality against Battling Nelson

    Probably say Jim Jeffires over Tom Sharkey under the searing heat of the 400 arc lights burning the hairs on their heads it was so hot going at like rutting stags for 25 rounds

    How about Maxim vs Robinson? The heat was sweltering enough to knockout the referee and Sugar Ray Robinson, but Joey Maxim managed to last the distance.

    Good shout - I think Marciano has to go life and death with anyone top 15 in history...but prevails when he finds the punch he's been looking for :D ps wlecome to classic - now and again some of us on here are prone2theoddbitofgr8tness - you should fit right in :good

    It's actually sad to think most fans today know Arguello best for his losses to Pryor. The Bloody Battle of Bayamon is all but forgotten.

    I wonder how Greb-Norfolk fight looked like. It seemed to be brutal with plenty of fouls and dirty actions.
