I dont see Adamek taking the fight for December. He will be WBO mand and will make more if he fights as a mand rather then a voluntary defense.

IMO team Adamek will wait until next year know they will be Wlad mand they will take tune-up fights with taller fighters

Word is Solis is fighting Sprott.

    slim pickins

Why did you put Haye when he's fighting Harrison? :S

Looking at the poll list, if Adamek and Solis are out....one of the "better" choices to me, seems to be David Tua...as weird as it is to say that.

I think Tua is well past it, and Wladimir could very well be the first to KO him.

Haye - Despite all his talk, turned down 50/50 to fight Harrison
Adamek - Won't take the fight
    Boytsov - Not ready
Valuev - Injured, and probably wouldn't take the fight anyway
Dimitrenko - Lost to Chambers, who was KO'd by Wlad, don't see the point of this fight
Arreola - He might take the fight, but it would be a massive beatdown
    Mormeck - why?
Tua - Past it, but would probably take the fight, interesting to see how Tua's chin holds up.
    Solis - Fighting Sprott

It is, as you say, slim pickins.

Maybe Valuev/King are regretting that they missed the good payday with Vitali and will fight Wlad, instead.

Aside from Haye, that is the most interesting opponent for either of the brothers. Adamek and Solis would also be acceptable, but not very excitiing opponent choices.

Tua......don't have enough to be competitive at this level anymore. The well past it Barrett proved that.

Dimitrenko...........Chambers already took the excitement away from him being seen as a viable world contender.... Overrated and very beatable...........

Solis......Not bad, I don't guess, for a stay busy fight..................although I see him as overrated and not competitive, at this level, either. But would possibly be a *doable* opponent, seeing as how he's undefeated and not *yet* gotten the hell beat out of him......LOL

Adamek.......don't want it, yet.....as Chef said. May be a viable contender when he gets more wins and confidence, though. VERY tough guy who can take a beating and stay on his feet...may also prove to be a *hard to deal with* kind of opponent, seeing as how he is a good mover with fast hands......overrated power, though. VERY overreated.

Here's hoping Valuev wakes up and takes the fight Wlad has coming up, until Adamek, and Haye come around, for whatever reason................

I thought Valuev was out due to shoulder surgery.

Yo CHEF, what do you think about Cristobal Arreola? I'd rather see him in there than Tua, to be honest. David Tua looked awful against a well past it Monte Barrett. Arreola looked awful against Manuel Quezada, but at least he won. :D Wlad wins against both guys, of course.

I just think a voluntary defense against Arreola would sell well at the Staples Center. It would also give Wlad the chance to finish where Vitali left off. :bbb

There's slim pickings out there based on what you've said, but thanks for sharing so much reliable info from so close to the source. Let us know what Wlad and the lawyers think, if it's okay to do so. :good

Realistically the only two who will be available are Tua and Mormeck. Both guys looking for a payday at the end of their careers. Adamek and Solis are occupied, by their own choice and Valuev is recovering my major shoulder surgery. The other names are simply not realistic at this point.

The only other guy who can fit in would be Toney and that would be fine by me because I would loveto see him get beaten even dumber than he already is. Regardless: Whomever Wlad fights, rest assured the bitching will start immediately after.

You know the more I think about it, based purely on resume, Mormeck is just as good an opponent as Tua if not better.

Mormeck was the lineal cruiser champ as recently as 2007. What has Tua done in the last 5 years?

That said, Adamek, Solis and Arreola are more deserving than either and would put up a better fight.

I am happy Wlad is fighting and staying busy.

    My preference and reasoning:

    1-Adamek-Ring #4 contender,big fight
    2-Boytzov-Ring #7 contender and undefeated
    3-Solis-Undefeated, talented and plump
4-Dimitrenko-Ring #9 contender and bigger than Wlad
    5-Tua-Big name and never Koed
6-Arreola-Ring #10 contender and never staight Koed
7-Mormeck or whomever else they can dig up...

I reckon Tua will accept and take the beating for the payday.

Good and dangerous fight for surely, but are Klitchkos and Helenius ready to take that fight. Someone will get sleeping bills in that fight.

Probably it takes some time before they fight, or they dont fight at all. Haye instead it very a potential adversary, at least Helenius.
Helenius take 2 good names and then there are Klitchko vs. Helenius
