    Hatton might be one of the lads, but the way he used to push that on people used to annoy me, its was like "Yeah, we know Ricky, you have said it a 100 times, your one of the lads, we get it", that just made you think he only used to recite it to gain more fans, to make more money, which is not coming across genuine imo.

    Also, he developed this persona later in his career where he would speak of himself like he was some kinda legend, infact i honestly think he was devastated about the losses to Manny and Floyd cause he truly believed he was as good as them, better in Pac's case.

    Hatton became to self absorbed and contrived for me, remember his post fight interviews? guy acted like a politician.

    To answer someone else's' post they said How did Hatton know he was going to lose?

    He admitted aftwerwards he had a terrible training camp and had severe doubts. He should be telling his fans he is confident but not encouraging them to waste money knowing he was far from 100%.

    As I said - he lacks integrity.

    ok he said that after... has it dawned on you that it was probably just an excuse as to why he was embarrassingly koed in 2 rounds?

    and maybe he was exceedingly confident going into the fight.. ever thought of that

    No. The crux of this thread is that he lied to his adoring fans knowing he wasn't for for task. That's the sort of BS statement Haye would say but then again they're both British and most Brits can't see the woods fro the trees. We tend to do what the media tells us l;ike good little worker bees.

    But that seems to be ok in your book. I guess we should all feel sorry for him because the multi multi millionaire got caught doing cocaine and said it was a recent thing. Awww.

    Lets all have a retrospective moment of silence for poor old Ricky Hatton.
