I'm sure he is depressed! It's one thing to lose to a guy like Pacquiao, it's another thing to get BRUTALLY KO'ed (KO of the year) in the early rounds. He got laid flat out. The fight wasn't remotely competitive. And he's not the type of guy that's really used to losing.

****, I'd be depressed too. That type of knockout is one that changes the game.

So let me get this Hatton gets his ass whupped a year and half ago and he's still depressed about it? Give me a ****ing break. Rickys got a whole bunch of life lessons to learn if he thinks thats the cause of depression.
Just admit it you're a dirty pikey who loves nothing more than a drink and some drugs. Face it Rick you're not as squeaky clean as the image you parlayed.

This Hatton hate is ridiculous. People just can't wait to stick the boot in when he's down.

The man has achieved more than any of you lot, so shut the **** up.

Maybe? This is a dude that counts he's WBU title as a world title. Ricky is/was as disillusional as they come.

Not exactly just money is it though?

. Best fighter in his division for many years.
    . Two weight world champion.
. Arguably Britains most popular fighter of all time.

Plus the only fighters to ever beat him are the two best fighters of this generation.

he's probably always had a bit of depression inside of him.....it would explain not giving a **** about his life, health and boxing future by getting so god damn out of shape in between fights. That pac left hook just took it to the next level.

The best fighter in his division but we didn't know if he was the best in Britain as he refused to fight he's nearest domestic rival for 10 years.

Won world titles at 47 and 140. 140 vs an Old Kostya nice. 147 against a belt holder so what.

He was popular? Big deal so was Sven Ottke in Germany.

As for being beaten by the best that was expected. He spent a career beating up cans to the tune of the WBU at the M.E.N. What he suffered at the hands of PBF and Pac is what happens when a fighter gets found out for what they really are. Facts remain Hatton was nothing more than a glorified club fighter who done very well out of boxing. He's route was carefully guided to the top picking and choosing he who fought. That much is clear from the path he chose to take.

    Glorified club fighter? Utterly ridiculous.

And please please please don't cite Junior Witter as worthy of a fight with Hatton. The guy was an overrated knob head.

Frank Warren doesnt agree with you. If Witter was so overrated why not fight him and put the speculation to bed? Instead Hatton avoided him for 10 years. Yeah thats the sign of a REAL champ.

All Witter did throughout his entire career was attempt to make a name for himself on the coat-tails of Hatton's success, much like Froch used to do with Calzaghe. Witter knew his style was ugly and lent itself to being involved in **** fights, and therefore tried to big himself up using Hatton.

Why should Hatton give him the satisfaction of a big pay day when he would be the only one bringing anything to the table? i.e. fans, style, box office interest.

Ahhh the much tired but often pedaled line by Hatton schill.
In case you didn't notice Hatton was the champ. Thats what champions do defend their titles against the best contenders. Was Hatton any more deserving of a shot at Kostya when he wasnt even a mandatory? What about all those mandatorys shots that Hatton turned down? As for being exciting what was the excuse of those 15 defences that Hatton made for the WBU? Let me guess they were all worthy opponents right?
Yeah who cares about a unification clash with Junior Witter bring on Juan Lazcano!!!

Hatton was an over glorified pub fighter. It was his rabid fan base that got him those fights with Pac and FMJ. His fans flew from England to LV for christs sake.

Witter was done by the time Hatton fought Lazcano.

I don't get what your trying to do here? Bigging up Witter as a better fighter than Hatton?

Or just using him as a stick to beat Hatton with?
