Lara is, IMHO, better than Gamboa. He will run through Vanes, who struggled against Ouma. Lara is going to be the future of the 154 lb division. It will be a shame to see one of these guys lose their "0," and it sure as hell won't be Lara.

Oh, I still remember when Lorenzo Aragón made Vanes his little ***** in Athens 2004.

    Vanes: 6'1
    Lara: 5'9

Yes, Lara is shorter, but just like Aragón, he will make Vanes his submissive *****. :good

Oh, and BTW Lorenzo Aragón: 5'4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really did not like the fact that the oldest and most shot version of Brewer we've seen hit Lara with 3 straight upper cuts. I don't recall the round, but the bell rang, and I thought Lara was pretty much saved by the bell.

I thought Ouma beat Martirosyan by a point or two. However, Ouma looked almost like his old self in that fight.

In my opinion Lara/Martirosyan is close to a 50/50 fight. Should be a good fight, and a good win for either. Let's hope it happens!

are you the one who met Brewer somewhere, and were impressed about how many prospects he spoiled, the one praising Brewer and predicting he will derail Lara's career?...then suddenly, after the loss, claiming that Brewer was old and shot.I think i remember you.

Hope this fight does get made. I think Lara will beat him. Vanes is all hype imo.

Nothing new here, Boo is pretty good at unintentionally hyping up fighters like Lara, Abraham or Martinez by telling us how little chance they have vs. top opposition like Brewer, Taylor or Pavlik.

Yep -- I said it was a good step up, and that Brewer was a known spolier. Long before that I said people should keep their undefeated prospects away from Grady Brewer. That does not change the fact that Brewer had clearly lost his battle with father time BEFORE he fought Lara. He is shot, and it showed.

I hope Lara and Vanes do get together. Sounds like a real good fight, and as I stated earlier, a good win for either.
