1 common opponent, a shot to hell Gatti who only had power and his toughness going for him, and Bruseles for Mayweather...I guess it'd have to be Cotto.

I had it in my head that Floyd fought Augustus at 140; I was wrong...

    Hmmm...

Yeah, I guess Cotto does have a stronger resume at 140...

Below 140 Floyd has a stellar resume though.

Cotto, that's why I think Floyd is getting overrated by his fans, he is not that tested much by fighting weak opposition. Just look at Floyd's opponents at 135.

When you just look at the facts and not be just a fanboy (for either MW or MC). Again Cotto takes this.

I guess everyone is going to act like they didn't know that after cotto and hatton saw what mayweather did to gatti at 140 they wanted no parts of mayweather at 140. No one did. He never planned on staying their long anyway his objective was always to get the delahoya fight.

I'm not sure what's the purpose of this threads comparing Cotto's resume with Mayweather's at certain weights because it doesn't say much. So far Mayweather still has the better resume at 154 against a fighter much better than all of the ones being considered in this weight class.

I agree. Mayweather was awesome in that fight. I remember watching it live and seeing Cotto and Hatton sitting in the crowd looking scared as ****:yep. It would have been suicide for either of them to fight him then. They both just shut the **** up after that.:yep.

But yeh...Cottos resume at 140 and 147 you cant really knock

And Mayweather has a better lightweight resume than Pacquiao and Cotto combined. Not sure what the point of this thread is?
