Why do boxing fans hate on a boxer with a weak chin?

good point it does sound stupid

i guess i only really bring chin up when predicting a fight

 

some ppl hate on chin alone its sad

 

most people who hate on a fighter with a weak chin are pussies who've never taken a flush punch in their lives

I don't know....People here have some strange chin fetish.

Some fighters have good chins, some don't. Sometimes when fighters have so-so chins but good recovery and heart, it makes for really exciting fights.

 

Why?? Because weak punch resistance is the most overt, overwhelming, and indisputable fundamental flaw a fighter can have. Obviously.

a fundamental flaw is not being able to throw a punch or not have a tight defense

as a trainer id rather have a fighter wit a glass jaw who never quit who i could mold into a champion when he learned to protect that chin

a fighter who cant be saved is the guy who is afraid to take the punch and undergo the risks it takes to be a winner and fold and quit when the going gets tough

and having a glass jaw isnt nearly as bad as having a weak heart

hell guys like Wlad and Khan were capable of learning to guard the chin and not get hit and the chin factor is almost out of the equation atleast in wlad's case khan still needs to prove a little more
