Okay, this has Merchant in it. Epic. The fights actually look like they are being aired as they normally would. Epic.

Looks half decent. When Christian Bale takes on a role, he really goes for it doesn't he...looks like he's lost a load of weight again.

I guess Wahlberg was the logical choice for the role, but I never was convinced he's got the talent to play a complex character based on a real person such as Ward. I guess Bale is OK as Eklund, he's got the talent and we all know he's got the anger inside (lol), while Adams is a question mark, her success depends on the chemistry. I loved the idea of Aronofsky directing it (though IMO The Wrestler hugely overrated), but with O. Russell, I have my concerns.

Anyway, the trailer was ok, and it rarely tells about the quality of the film, so I look forward seeing it.

Nah. Movie ends with the Neary fight I believe

  10. Yeah, bit disappointed with that tbh.

They're using the WBU fight with Neary as his big title win :patsch

I adore ward but this looks ****!!! Why are they not speaking like dickey and mickey?

Dickey is a crackhead and bale looks far to healthy to play him!! should have got into the role more and honked on a crackpipe!!

Surely a sequel is possible then? His career and life post-Neary is as interesting, with the Gatti connection.

Looks decent but how can you have a Micky Ward story without Gatti in it..

    Looks decent to me..

If it stops at the neary fight, then i can only assume that a sequel is in the pipeline depending on how well this one does...

Christian Bale looks crazy in this film...He looks mad skinny and about 10 years older than he is..
