Seems TR has decided to call the fight off between Cotto & Chavez Jr. & split the date between them. Cotto vs Cintron & Chavez vs Wolak maybe.

    Good or bad?

  2. Let's hope they let Cintron wear a parachute during the fight.

I hope he stays in the ring this time.

Can't believe he's getting another major fight. Wonder what he tries to pull this time.

I agree. i don't think he deserves a shot after that bs. But it seems whenever TR is in the mix it doesn't matter who deserves the shot.

I suppose he deserves a fight with Cotto more than Junior. I think it would be a good move for Chavez to fight Wolak, who would be a step up for him, and try to gradually increase his level of competition rather than jump straight into a Cotto fight.

I think Cintron would enjoy some early success before the inevitable - Cotto piles on the pressure and brings out the ***** in him.

Career wise, Cintron is more deserving than Jr., but w/ him jumping out the ring against PW, I can't justify that, more less give him a title fight sure to be on PPV. It's definitely a better move for Jr., cause he was getting a loss vs Cotto.

I like how it's an established fact that he intentionally jumped out of the ring. The momentum of his fall carried him through the ropes. Yes he probably could have carried on after the 5 minutes he should have been given to recover but he was taken out on a stretcher before then. Plus in any other country or even US state the fight would have been a no contest.

I'd like to see Cotto fight Cintron, he's a better opponent at this stage than jr.

does arum hate cotto or something?

why not give him berto that would be a lesser risk and higher reward fight, cotto doesn't get much out of beating cintron and hes in danger of catching a huge punch.

I hear you - in a fair world, Cintron would have to build himself up, prove himself and try to gain some respect back from the fans before landing another opportunity like this. Maybe another couple of wins like he had over Angulo. Pretty much any top 10 junior-middle would be an improvement on Chavez Jr though, so that makes it a little more palatable.

He's slowly building up Mr. Miguel's confidence. Foreman was someone that really couldn't do anything to hurt Cotto. Next up is Cintron, who isn't that great, but has enough power to be a threat.

Cotto-Cintron is a better fight than Cotto-Chavez. Cintron has some power and if he upset Cotto I wouldn't be shocked but I wouldn't count on it. Chavez taking on Wolak is a smart move for him as well. He could use more fights with Roach and Wolak will give him some hard rounds.

Chavez can always get a fight with someone like Cotto or Pavlik, let him start stepping up his competition some in the meantime so he doesn't get totally embarrased by a top fighter. Chavez can't beat someone like Cotto but if he improves while Cotto declines he can alteast make a good showing for himself.

Didn't Cintron recently say that he was taking the rest of the year off? It may have been because nobody was knocking at his door. I don't think he would turn down a nice payday like a Cotto fight right now. He'd be stupid to.

Anyway, this is a fight that I've wanted to see for a while now. Cintron has enough skill and pop to give Cotto tons of ****. Good fight and let's make it happen.

foreman was a bad stylistic match up for cotto, but luckily cotto's dealt with that style before so didn't have any problems, cintron is a huge light middleweight tller than margo and hits harder, cotto's weakness is bigg and strong fighters.
