Big difference between the two.

Flint posts on boxing with the odd iffy thread thrown in, Betty is just a sad idiot who seems to have completely lost interest in the sport and now just has a (very repetitive) "thing" for Hatton.

"Ruffling feathers" infers Betty sparks worthwhile debate on the forum, he doesn't. He's either a just troll on the wind up or he is genuinely mentally ill. Either way you are giving him far too much credit for his contribution around here.

 

But as you said...if hes not interested...well he shows it by not posting often. So he pops up with a rant once in a blue moon, whats the big deal. The outrage is only likely to spur him on...****ing hell he's got a huge diatribe dedicated to him.

I don't agree entirely with Betty about Hatton, but he's a character. His rants can be pretty funny, although I wish he would come up with some new material. The general forum has a lot of **** posters that pollute the forum. The brit forum has a few poster who are controversial, some who just like to hate, but most of them are characters. Primadonnakool is another one who talks so much bull****, but I like him. Nutjob too. Nutjob crosses the line sometimes, like in this thread laughing about Hatton's missus crying when he got knocked out by Pac, that's a low blow and classless, but he will tone it down in the future I think. He claims this forum is full of ****s, but you watch in about a year he'll be a different poster. New posters always start off angry and super-controversial. Maybe not always but you know, a lot of them do.

 

And Betty causing someone to feel the need to go to those lengths is "healthy for the forum"?

You log on here some days and, between all the hate threads on Haye, Hatton and Khan, the first page is embarrassing. Thats the only word that I can think of to describe some of the thread titles, its getting more and more like the GF in content.

 

I wouldn't say Betty is anywhere near a main instigator of the 'General forum-itis' that may or may not be infecting the Brit forum. He posts like once a fortnight and more often than not contributes to existing threads.

So I think thats an issue caused by others.

 

He's not, you seemed to be advocating "ruffling feathers" (trolling, attention whoring) as being good for the forum though.

 

I definitely don't advocate big time regular trolling.

But its more about perspective, a couple of posts a week at most is not really damaging the forum. What probably derails Hatton threads are the people getting up in arms about Betty's post. I mean they should really know better, doing that doesn't achieve anything.

Betty's not getting banned, it ain't happened yet and ain't going to happen if it hasn't by now. Might as well just embrace him, he's practically a Brit forum institution by now...hehe.

I don't see too much wrong atm although obviously I should be mod of the Brit forum. There has been a fair degree of muppetry over Haye/Harrison but its bound to die down. There are many spastics and occasionally some good people come along that become regulars. It's like a constant cycle, thats never changed since I've been here.

 

You're right about responding to the posts but its hard not to after a few beers!!!

We'll have to agree to disagree on the state of the forum. Its always had good and bad days, but the bad days at the moment are truly ****ing awful.

 

I have to admit I don't give as much of a **** as I used to so maybe I don't notice. Maybe I've just become so used to the ******s.

I still think its an okay place to discuss boxing, this little part of cyberspace is probably still the best place on the Internet to talk boxing, here in the Brit forum at ESB. I wouldn't fancy trying my luck over at boxrec or 606 where they're genuinely clueless. It will probably improve some when the Harrison/Haye and Hatton coke stories die down and it'll be decent this weekend.

TFFP is the shiteater & former Hatton troll himself who started the Betty apology thread, needing the counter arguement spelled out to him. He's currently on the 3rd tier of brit forum twats, just under nutjob & scurla on tier 2.

Imagine if Hatton himself actually read this ****. He'd be embarrassed, baffled, maybe even a little saddened that such inherently sad bitter lickle losers constantly indulge in such pointless e-twattishness.

 

Yep, I'm caring less TFFP, maybe just logging on Friday/ Saturday nights for the RbRs is an answer but I know I'd still get drawn into the shite side while I was here!!.

(I think the Haye issue will rear its ugly head again for his next fight after Harrison TBH. Should be fun!!)

 

I'm not entirely sure who you are to be honest for somebody that claims to know about me and has posted since 2008. You've probably never posted anything remotely interesting on boxing otherwise I'd remember you.
