Wladimir Klitschko vs David Tua - Dec 11 - Very Possible

Didn't Tua turn down a fight with Wald way back for the IBFs number one???

 

Oh hell...
I was kinda hoping Tua would get a shot at Haye somewhere down the line - he'd have a much better chance there I reckon...
Well, I'm more then a little bias here, but realistically I have to say Wlad by wide decision.
I really hope Tua shows up and spends 4 or 5 rounds cracking ribs, that'd be the way to slow Wlad down and give himself a chance to land the big left hook.

No, but he turned down a fight with Rahman for a mandatory in 2003-4 and a fight with Brewster shortly after that. It was due to his court case with his manager, Kevin Barry.

 

I belieeve he turned down Waldimir too.

Maybe, he didn't fight anyone after Rahman II for 2.5 years, then did his bum of the month comeback, until he retired again for 2 years. Then he fought Shane Cameron, Friday, Barrett. That's where we're upto now.

 

I was thinking about this fight the other day. Wladimir stops Tua late at this point. This fight would've been more interesting in 2003, but Tua has slowed down and is going to be clinched all night. He is not getting inside on Wladimir. Wladimir is going to have another brutal KO win with this fight.

Wlad busts him up and stops him around th 6th, if Monte Barrett can hurt you then Wlad will make it an early night.

A really poor match up , but not surprising from Wlad.

 

Tua is very, very focused. He needs to get his conditioning and his shoulder right. He hurt Barrett several times, according to Klit. Think what he'd do to Klit if he him him clean? The two things that will let Tua down are his conditioning and age, which will not allow him to throw punches n bunches. And, he needs to learn how to get inside.

 

I don't think Peter ever hit him cleanly. Wlad doesn't take punches better, but he fights defensively, which makes it very hard for people to get to him, given his height. And he's learned how to clinch if fighters get in close. In the past, he didn't fight tall at all, and allowed exchanges, causing him to end up on his bum. Now that doesn't happen.

 

Horrible fight.

 

This would be just like the lewis fight except Tua would get stopped.
