Yep, i think we should all do our homework and make a point of at least watching BJ's last 5-6 fights, i know i will before making any further comments on this subject matter.

Perhaps you could suggest how they should go about finding someone who meets with your all-important approval Johnny.

Would have thought the world ranking would be a good start in assessing talent.

Flores is genuine cruiser, he's undefeated and he's a ranked top 15 by the major boxing organisations (in the top 10 in 2 of them).

...and the problem with Flores is???

    CHB = Green hugger. :lol:

Serious, you just gotta look at Greens last 1/2 dozen or so fights to work this out, he's doing a similar thing to Mandy and many are falling for it.

Sure, BJ appears to be a live body on the face of it, and maybe he is the real thing, I don't know.

However I can't take it too seriously as I don't trust Green any more than I trust Mandy.

If it ends up being a good hard fight which goes the distance then great, but up until that point I remain very skeptical.

Green has fought a list of bums recently. Just as Mundine has for about the past 3 years. No argument from me on that.

I'm trying to judge the suitability of Flores here NOT Green.

Johnny the expert seems to think Flores is a bum, and the boxing orgs have him top 15.

Who do you see as better qualified on this, the boxing organisations or Johnny??

Last time I looked Katsidis was an Aussie.

A "champion" shouldn't be commended for "testing himself" against an undefeated American import. It should be the norm. No wonder this sport's in a shambles.

It's not difficult to get a rating. The only prerequisite is a pro licence. The rest is negotiable.

You tell me, what has BJ done to legitimise his rankings. He has been inactive for over 12 months. If BJ's ranking is legit, then so is Mundine's WBA no. 2 or Waters' recent no. 7. Take the time to go through each of the org's rankings and you'll make no sense of how or why guys are ranked where they are.

I'd prefer to see Green fight anyone who has at least been active over the last 12 months. Or how about Hugo Garay who is ranked by the IBO. At least then we'd see the fight that Green was meant to have before he had his epiphany.

I didn't know that Green could only fight in Australia. Good thing Manny Siaca and RJJ had a passport.

Fighters like Katsidis and Peden went overseas to test themselves and became champs.

And before you start calling someone else dumb, do yourself a favour and do a spell check.

So basically being **** weak and hedging your bets....

Heard this before from some really brave big noting boxing fans just prior to RJJ....

Then all of a sudden RJJ was no longer an ATG but a flogged out hack...

Fence sitters with no balls to back in an opinion...:hi:

Green has been dropped once in his career, and it was at LHW by Gonzales.

It was a flash knockdown, Green was off balance and got back to his feet straight away.

Green's got a good chin, I don't know about Flores power, 15 KOs out of 24 wins would suggest he has some power, but the majority of those KOs have been TKOs.

Anyway, as for the criticism of Flores as his next opponent - he's a young, undefeated Cruiserweight prospect. According to all the naysayers after the Jones and Briggs fights, Green should be fighting a true Cruiser who isn't 35 or older. Well, Flores fits that bill and is a far more credible opponent than an Argie or a Philo.

Would have thought a genuine cruser with an undefeated record and rated by all the organisations could just possibly spell WORTHY OPPONENT!

Perhaps you just rate Green too highly?

Then again, you've dropped Garay's name, which shows clearly you have a long-standing hatred for Green!

It isn't hard to have an undefeated record if you fight B-grade opposition. Yeah, Flores is a cruiser but Green shouldn't be getting pats on the back for fighting one when he holds the belt.

Green's the one who rates himself so highly.

As for my reference to Garay, the only thing that clearly demonstrates is that I have following the game for more than two minutes.
