There's noone in this division who has a decent (more that 30%) chance against the 2. Does that mean they're that good, or does it mean the rest is that bad? I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. But saying they're not getting any respect from American boxing fans these days is bull... Even some of the Brits are giving the brothers respect these days and they have their own cannonfodder to chear for. Problem is eventhough they rule as kings, they're not household names because the lack of exposure. After Wlad gave Peter that tremendous beating there was only one little sidenote in the newspaper I read (about 3 by 5cm) that said something like "Wladimir Klitschko succesfully defended his IBF and WBO Heavyweight Championship in Frankfurt Germany last night against Samuel Peter, by KO in round 10" (that's about the entire article). That's the problem they have, the media doesn't care so the audience doesn't care.
So does that mean Louis Johnson and Dempsey were in weak eras too? They all got knocked out a few times before they fixed their weak areas and then dominated.
They were in better divisions than the Klits. And they were beaten by better guys than Ross Purity and Lamon Brewster.:deal
It is a weak division, very weak but the fact their fights are so 1 sided shows that they are not just the best of a bad bunch but leagues ahead of the rest and are both very good boxers. And i dont blame them for their safety 1st tactics when they can blow most opponants away when ever they want. They have chosen sporting achievment over being an entertainer and as this is a sport they are entitled to do it, and they still pull in the crowds in Germany they just struggle to break the boxing mecca that is America.
