no, you're not. you're saying that a shoulder roll won't work against a southpaw left hand, not that it won't work against a southpaw. if floyd is in his shell, manny would have a hard time passing a right over floyd's left shoulder. but floyd would not be able to block a left hand with is shoulder, just like he can't against an orthodox fighter. that's why he keeps his right hand where it is when he's on the defensive.

To go to the body you've got to be in punching range, and Mayweather punches much harder now, and as a result if you think about going to the body, your going to get hit hard for it.

Sweetpea had the best jab for a southpaw ever,what the hell is roach talking about.Without his jab Sweetpea would not have been the kind of fighter he was.
FR - When you are a southpaw fighting a conventional fighter, the alignment for the jab is not really conducive for that kind of fighting. Manny has a great jab but when you are fighting a right handed fighter, it changes the dynamics of the positioning of the feet so the jab is not really relevant. So whoever is making those kind of statements does not know boxing because they don't understand how southpaws work against right handed fighters.
