Pea and Winky made their careers off the jab. You just need a really elite jab to make it THAT effective for a southpaw. roach doesn't want to admit that emmanuel's jab isn't good enough for that.

They say that Cotto's Jab would keep Pac away. They also said that against Dela Hoya. So far pac was fast enough to counter those jabs with his straight left. Against another fast fighter who probably has a much better jab than Cotto, let's see how Pacquiao will do against that but so far he's been proving people wrong.

 

I'm not reading this thread but, obviously. Floyd doesn't use his shoulder roll against south paws. He uses orthodox defense.

 

Cotto jab sucks ,he has none and never did and Oscar never had a jab also he made his money off of his left hook in which he is left handed.

Yeah. He was also a lot cautious against Judah and hardly used the shoulder roll.

 

Young Mayweather was already able to completely shoulder roll off Judah's left hand by the 5th round of the fight. He was still doing the shoulder roll against Corley and Mitchell. That shoulder roll L guard still works inside of the pocket against southpaw, since Floyd forces the lefty to square their shoulders, taking away their southpaw advantage.
