Hope he doesnt end up like Vargas,he shoudnt be fed to any big names for now,he will keep beating decent names.Vargas never was the same after fighting Trinidad.I think he was only 22 by the time he fought Tito.

Ten years from now, Saul Alvarez is going to be 30. Considering how unusually young he is, he's pretty damn good in my opinion. His defense is sound despite his tendency to block some punches with his face, and his offense and his comfortableness in the ring are pretty remarkable (again considering his age).

I don't think most of you guys are giving him nearly as much credit as he deserves.

I got a feeling he'll lose before getting a title shot putting his stock lower than it is right now unless he continues to face slow, old or very small opponents. I can see anyone with good speed and decent chin easily whupping him. berto for instance would demolish him cause Canelos so slow

i think he'll be far ahead of this mark i see him completely unifying the jmw division by that time. in the next 2 years i suspect he'll beat the likes of chavez jr, margarito, angulo, cintron, berto, maybe not all but certainly some aswell as some other up n coming prospects/contenders like andrade, porter, martirosian, green, hatley, mwlease

i honestly think he'll dominate this division before eventually moving up to middleweight

Ruso Murat Khuzzee is a D-Level Eurotalent. Not only that, he was past his prime and came in to this particular fight out of shape. Had Saul granted him a rematch, Ruso would have came in shape, and won by early KO, but Saul was aware of this and did not give him a rematch for this very reason.

If Canelo was American 90 percent of this forum would be all over his arse likes flies on shite making up stupid threads about him like he was the best thing since sliced bread ,

But he's Mexican and he has red hair so he gets called a hypejob .

I am looking forward to 3 yrs when this kid will be a world beater and alot of people will be eating their words.

On the other hand if I am wrong I will be eating my words .

To be the monster many are hoping he becomes, he needs to make alot of improvements.

But, he has all the time in the world to make them. So I am conflicted.

Usually, a young fighter with good potential like Canelo makes something of himself. Considering he may have 15-20 years left in the sport if he is matched right and takes the time to rest(He is taking that time well since he's been stepping up), to say he wont atleast pick up a belt is alittle out there.

I have some hope for the kid, but we will have a better picture of his future after tommorow night. Baldomir is a veteran, and tough as nails.

This is a good fight for him. Baldomir is a walking chin. He can take alot of punches and has a very good workrate. He will make for an interesting fight. Actually the more i think about thise card it will actually shape up to be pretty good scraps. I think ima have to get it.
