i still love Briggs, he had a once in a decade fight with adamek, then the rematch was much the same two fights like that in two years unbelievable... what happens after doesnt take away what hes achieved in the ring for me

''A doctor told me before the fight, 'You have serious neurological issues.' I said: 'What are you going to do, call off the fight?' He signed the paper and I was allowed to fight.

So who is this doctor he should face charges.

I might be too cynical but im not sure that i believe all that from briggs. If its all true then wow...how did he ever step foot in a boxing gym yet alone a ring.

I agree completely. I'm not even sure he's still off the drugs.

I've read too many biographies where guys claim to come clean right at the end of the book, yet later on OD, etc...

I remember reading Marilyn Manson's bio where at the end he also says he quit drugs cold turkey and stayed free. 6 months later he brings a new album out where. The cd is in the design of a tablet and his first 2 singles are called "The Dope Show" and "Dont like the drugs but the drugs like me".

Probably one of the Aussie rules doctors who send concussed players back on the field only minutes after being crunched senseless.

They'll okay or sign anything - disgrace to the profession.

yeah, i wouldn't be so quick to write all of this off as bs.

his condition wasn't a secret at the time of his first retirement, giving at least some immediate credence to parts of his story.

Interesting article and if true, it will be interesting what comes out of the inquiry in WA. I guess the doctor who signed off on the fight is in the shite!
